  • based on previous experience the billing itself can be horrendous, amounts kept changing all the time.

Cashrewards isnt the same anymore. I wouldn't take the risk with the payout

is there a period when an old customer can be considered a new customer at the same address?

    • Change of ownership before switching back. Seems like bit of hassle.

Exclusion for any past customer at same address will cut out many people. 180 day wait???

Be wary of their "advertised" pricing. Got slugged with peak demand usage and other bs which they didn't list on signup.

Not to mention they did a credit check, impacting my rating.

You're almost assuredly be worse off than $115 over 6 months awaiting the cashback.

Not aware of any energy companies that don't perform credit checks.

    • Origin didn't do one when I signed with them, and from memory neither did Red Energy.

      • Since 2021
ReAmped energy, Sumo and Momentum Energy have performed credit checks with Equifax. Origin did not. I haven't been with any others in that time so cannot comment on them.

      • Origin did one on me and rejected my application! For bloody gas!

  • Signed up in the last promo in July. Still waiting to be transferred from current provider and just got told it won't be done until October. No reason, no accountability, no care. By the time I'll actually receive the cashback, I'd have paid far more had I just gone to another provider. Time to switch even before the switch is completed.

    • It says gas transfer can take up to three months in the conditions when I signed up.

  • 180 days guarantees its not worth it vs going to a cheaper retailer

  • Just received the cashback from the previous deal with no hiccups. Looking to churn it soon. Any good deals for NSW?

    • How long did it take? Does it take full 180 days 🤔

  • What if we switch before 180 days??

Super suspicious that this was the only electricity reseller I've encountered that "could not tell if I had a solar panel system installed" and required me to message customer service for a custom quote, voiding a cashback claim.
