Not worth the sugar… health levels 📉

    • 31% sugar, yep only for special occasions :D

    • Being overweight makes you unhealthy, sugar is fine, every "healthy" food you can name has sugars/carbs.

We moved from fat is the devil to sugar is the devil. Everything is either carb/fat/protein and you need them all in balance and eating a bit to much of one if you exercise and are otherwise healthy is fine.

      • +1

Processed sugar is the real devil. It's not a natural food, and it does make you fat. You're right that all the fat hate was misconstrued. Funnily enough you know who purported a lot of the fat is bad for you "science"? The sugar industry.

You're right you can eat sugar but in a balance. The issue with things like lollies is, a tiny amount contains so much sugar! You're not getting your values worth when it comes to enjoyment vs sugar intake.

  • Short dated?

    • +1

No issue, should be able to smash a few packets within a couple days.

      • Couple per day. Up your diabetes game, mate. This is ozbargain.

    • Best before 17/7/25. Likely just a deleted line.

      • +2

There is a new 50% less sugar 130g range that replaces this.

    • No, they're not short dated. Notably at my local Coles the ticket price was $5.00 but they scanned at $0.50, so maybe they are that price in every Coles regardless of what's on the ticket.

$5 at mine, in app, Qld Hervey bay. Yes I have it on in store.

    • Thanks for the info. Will update.

  • Normal price at 3047 VIC

  • Diabetes here I come!

  • Sweet!

  • I picked some of these up earlier today, they're extremely sticky and chewy compared to the normal Nat Co lollies. I'm not sure if it's because they're the 25% less sugar ones or if it's just a date thing?

I think that Natural Confectionery is the worst of all the lolly brands. Tastes gross and always makes me feel sick. Can't beat Haribo (particularly the range you can get over in Germany).

    • If we can't even manufacture decent lollies in this place I think Oz is well and truly f**ked.

Well…after visiting 3 stores (in SA)…found a box in 1…where it was advertised $5 each but scanned for $0.5 …so I don't know what came over me and bought the whole box(16 packs) for $8..
Must be something wrong in my head..haha

  • i picked up the last 19 packets from Waterloo… but then I have a very sweet tooth (fyi, they were marked as $5 each, scanned at 50c, so thanks)

I got 26 packets at my local. Ready for Halloween as people come by begging for lollies 😂😂
