Bought it for $281 during the sale on eBay in August - every cent worth! What really stood out for me is the Imaging. M4 has nailed it there.

Same here. The sound quality is excellent! I'm still in the 30 day trial period. Have decided to definitely keep it! The long battery life is also a big plus. A two hour charge lasts for 7-8 days for my usage.

      • How is the ANC for you guys. I think the ANC is very bad, in train yesterday I coukd hear everything from train grinding the tracks, aannouncements and peoplechatting throughout.
Not sure if mine was like a bad piece.

        • I returned mine a few months ago, ANC is kinda atrocious compared to the Sony's, if ANC if what you prioritize.

        • I wanted to buy these a while ago and have older non ANC Sennheiser headphones, the sound quality of them is amazing. All reviews said these Momentum 4 didn't have good ANC compared to many others even cheaper alternatives, while of course cheaper alternatives don't have the sound quality. I went for the Bose in the end, yes more expensive.

If you want better ANC maybe one of the Anker or others might be good.

      • Hi - just wanted to check who offers the trial period you're referring to?

        • I bought M4 from Sennheiser eBay store. It can be returned within 30 days as long as there is no damage after you try it. I have confirmed with Sennheiser.

I can return by 06 Sept if I want to.

          • @tung0211: Awesome - just picked a pair up. Odd that it only seems to be through their eBay store and note if you purchase through them directly.

      • Would you say the ANC is good enough for at home to block out sound from other rooms (e.g. TV)?

After having a pair of HD 6XXs for a while now I like the way Sennheisers feel but could do without the cord and to block the noise.

        • I own both and nothing comes close to the sony's noise cancelling capability. It can make you forget that anything is around you to the point that taking them off can be surprisingly loud and busy. They are also very effective with noise on planes.

The sennheiser is more average in noise cancelling, certainly reduces sounds but doesn't eliminate them.

But i only really use the sennheisers as the ausio quality is so much better. They are also more convenient for me as charging can be done while they're in use, and is signficantly faster.
