Appears to be uncapped. I think this expires midnight AEST 03/09/24, it just shows an "expires in xx hours".

What will stop me from getting cashback

  • You must empty your TEMU cart prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback.
  • Cashback for TEMU is eligible only on orders placed from within Australia, and delivered to Australia.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.

What else is essential

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know

  • TEMU cashback may report a lower amount than expected due to international conversion rates, fees, taxes and other factors determined by TEMU. Please note TopCashback has no control over this process.
  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.

    What is the timeframe for claim approved? Cashrewards and ShopBack both tell you when the confirmation date is

    I don’t use Cashrewards for TEMU cause it’s 6 months for confirmation, ShopBack is 3

      My last TEMU order on TopCashback was 27th May and has just moved to confirmed. So i guess its about 3 months. Hope that helps!

          Usually a few days, sometimes a week before "confirmed" turns into "payable"

            @Puglife: Oh nice I had written off cash rewards previously when it didn't track and thought I'd give it another go so I'm glad it's tracking, but by God you wouldn't rely on it would you, takes ages and sometimes doesn't track

      TCB say 12 weeks, then when you write to them on week 13 they say

      Please note that 12 weeks is just an estimated timeframe. Unfortunately TEMU is one of the slower paying retailers, and typically approve orders at around 16-20 weeks.

    • Last time I did it, I removed everything, just in case, and it all tracked fine.

      • its handy to keep things on cart, so my trick is, keep them on cart but then click each item on the cart (so go to the actual product page) and increase item quantity. one by one.
        then, obviously on the cart, reduce the item quantity back to one.

          That's good! I just go to my cart, reopen each item as a new tab, then delete it from my cart, and re-add from each tab haha

  • Has anyone else experienced issues with Topcashback? I created an account with a Hotmail email address and I don't receive any emails from them. I am unable to confirm my account to withdraw the cashback I have sitting in my account.

      @Mr Haj The issue could be the Hotmail email address. I know a few people that used to have Hotmail and were not receiving all their emails. They had to change to Gmail which seems to be more reliable. There are also several complaints online about Hotmail not delivering all emails.

      Don't want to state the obvious, but have you checked your junk/spam folder? Also please ensure @topcashback.com.au is added to your safe senders list in your email settings.

    Temu are quite strict with their rules compared to others. Don't have the products you want to buy in your cart before checkout and don't use any coupons, even those that auto-apply. I find going through the TCB app to be the most reliable.

  • I didnt read the section where it specifies to clear cart and placed an order. I then cancelled it and used the refund credit to repurchase after clearing cart, what are the chances that this screws the cashback. There is no mention of not being able to use temu credit in the T&Cs, but I am worried that they will screw me on this.

      It screwed me, it tracked but then claim was denied by Temu.

        • No, i think that should be fine. My issue was that I did not clear cart. So I cancelled order and placed new one for same item. Order tracked but after some days it was denied by Temu. Tried to clarify with Temu directly but they didnt have a clue so decided to return the item.

  • My Temu orders did not get tracked, but raising ticket with TopCashBack and finally after weeks, I got confirmed cashback, so I am happy to report both vendors pay, but really annoying Temu tracking is bad.

    • Most of my orders (not that there's been that many) on Temu via TCB have tracked ok, and at least the time I had to submit a claim it went through in the end. No such luck at SB in the same situation.

      Gonna need to do another though, my last one didn't track. Had an AliExpress one too the same day that didn't track either which is strange, 99% of the time everything tracks ok, I use a portable browser specifically set up without any sort of blocking etc for purchases. Biggest hassle is that Temu and AliExpress require a claim for every item.

      Agree. I’ll stick with AliExpress. Free postage over $15 is more reasonable. I find temu annoying with it’s never ending wheel spins and other such nonsense.

    Tracking seemed OK a month ago but I can only assume it's still pretty spotty. Good news is Temu usually take more than a day to post so you can cancel your order if it doesn't track, in my experience if it doesn't track in <24 hours it won't. Though it appears many have had no issues raising a ticket with TC and getting approval.

    I got tracking with coupon and credit use from TC and SB about a month ago, similar transactions have paid out in the past but these two are still pending so no guarantees. One problem with this is that if you used a coupon and cashback didn't track, if you open a missing tracking case it can be declined based on that.

    Probably unpopular opinion and definitely goes against the "everything from temu is crap" mantra but… I've found the car detailing stuff to be pretty decent including brushes, microfibres, applicators and a few other miscellaneous items. Obviously my MJJC foam cannon is going to perform better than the temu one (probably) but for just brushes and stuff it's pretty decent. YMMV.

  • Temu auto-applied $7.23 credit to my order (I didn't realise had credit on my account to be honest). Rest was paid with Paypal. Now I'm worried if the credit being used will cause an issue for my cashback.. Hopefully the balance I paid using Paypal will still be eligible for cashback.

      Haha yeah me too, probably cause TopCashBack is new in the Aus market.

      Though tbf everytime I use SB or CR, I feel the same way. TCB doesn't look like it has click history that you can see either, so even more in the dark than usual.

  • So what would happen if you do a "price adjustment" at a future date? So is it the case you could get a $0.20 price adjustment and they invalidate the entire order cashback?

    • Have asked this also but never got a definitive answer. Any Temu orders I've placed were usually on upsized cashback worth a lot more than the adjustment so haven't been game to try.

        I placed another order on 2/8 that tracked with TC though, with a coupon no less. It seems extremely unreliable, pretty much 50/50.

        • Just checked recent Temu offers with Cashrewards and ShopBack. It appears that tracking with Temu is unreliable with all the cashback providers so perhaps the issue is with Temu. Fortunately you can cancel the order easily if you don't want to bother chasing the cashback.

    Hey guys. Seems every time we run a TEMU increase there's an issue - I'm certain we're jinxed! Anyway, I took the liberty of proactively emailing TEMU first thing this morning when I noticed not a single order had tracked since 11:59pm 02/09/24, which is very unusual as generally TEMU batch reports every 8-10 hours. Here's their response:

    Hi. Thank you for your feedback.

    Recently, we have made some adjustments to the data return time. This email is hereby notified of our adjusted data return rules:
    Effective Date:September 3th
    Return timing:the data of 【T】 will be returned before 【T+2】23:59:59

    We only modifies the return time which will not affect the current and future cooperation between us. If it has caused any inconvenience to you, we express our thanks here for your understanding and support.

    Look forward to a more successful and glorious cooperation!

    I then responded asking for a clearer explanation of exactly what it meant, and received this:

    Hi again. Apologies for the inconvenience caused by the recent technical changes in our data transmission timeline.

    I have just confirmed internally that we will complete the transmission of all data for September 3rd by September 6th at the latest. We will be urging our team to expedite this process and will provide you with updates as soon as they become available.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    So in short, some changes they made right on the day of the promo have caused a tracking delay, and not loss of data. Please be patient and hopefully everything reports as it should in the coming days. Based on this feedback we've also added an alert to the TEMU merchant page stating orders may take up to 7 days to report.

    Apologies for the inconvenience, but again this is another issue caused by something that is unfortunately totally out of our control. If I receive further updates, I'll be sure to communicate them here. Thank you for understanding. TA.

      @tightarse That's excellent customer service. If I was going to shop at Temu with cashback, I would only use TopCashback as you proactively check and follow up with Temu.

          Mine also didn't track so had to lodge a missing cashback.

          The items I bought were definitely not worth paying full price for so if cashback doesn't end up getting processed it will be a pretty expensive purchase and probably put me off this cashback + temu in future :(.

          Missing cashback lodgement says can take a few months so I'll probably forget about this issue, but yeah definitely leaves a bad taste.

  • Perhaps contract with TEMU of an advanced credit amount that they agree they will honour. TEMU seems to be getting a lot of customers the last thing they need is negative news and social media pushback. Cheers on your transparency regarding this situation.
