Vornado are very reliable, i have 2 633DC running 24/7 , these are fantastic air circulators, these retro ones look quite cool
There is no reasonable comparison between the fan you have linked and a Vornado air circulator. An air circulator creates a narrow beam of air current that penetrates well down a corridor or into a room. It's like a zoom lens vs a wide angle lens.
And the linked on is 12v designed for an RV. The Vornados are 240v and designed for homes.
The current deal is 20% on all Vornado.
Someone on the old deal said that the DC fans were better. But how much better? Small 533DC is on sale for $191.20.

Benefits of the DC motors:
- quieter,
- 99 levels of adjustment,
- can easily go slow enough to be totally inaudible,
- physical control rather than touch controls so can be powered from a smart plug,
- more energy efficient.
The extra price is well worth going for a DC model.
Do Vornado DC fans have blinking or always on LED lights? Just need a DC fan for the bedroom that doesn't light up the whole room.

I’ve always wanted this fan. My brother has had one since our teenage years and it’s still going. I remember he had it on for about 2 years non stop.
I think it’s over 20 years old.
I’ve wanted one ever since, but it was always so expensive or rarely sold in AU.

Yes, these were not widely sold in Australia. And when they were, they were hellishly expensive - currently $309 at King of Knives for example (https://www.kingofknives.com.au/products/vornado-vfan-vintag…).
bit the bullet - hopefully it'll work as well as the reviews suggest for the upcoming summer! Went with the 533DC for bedroom that's roughly 3.5m x 3.5m.
If only it came with a remote
$150 for a "vintage" fan that breaks like a new fan, no thanks!
