Excellent post , I still think boost is good value for us who can't afford Telstra , even though there's more data and international destinations/calls . I thought these plans wouldn't jump this high , has the cost of providing services increased this much or has the wage of CEO's risen ?

its there any difference between Telstra & Boost as in where's offered? i realise coverage is the same. Does the Telstra one offer access to Telstra Plus deals like cheap movies, footy, etc tickets?

    • +1

yep - Telstra Pre-Paid earns you Telstra Plus points, whereas Boost doesn't.

    • +1

Boost still lets you have discounted tickets. I have a Telstra account with no active sim. I used to be with Telstra and the account stays active even if you move to a different provider

      • How did you get that? On Telstra Plus, youre required a Telstra ID customer.

    • Yes, boost won't let you use Telstra One Number eSIM, so no Apple watch cellular for you!

  • Can you port telstra to boost with this

    • -1

      nope

      • I've heard you can if you contact support.

    • +1

Yes, Telstra to Boost is possible without porting

i was Telstra post paid, when received the boost sim it would not activate online, but did online chat with Boost and they were able to do it.
Pretty sure they converted me from Telstra Postpaid to Prepaid, then ported me to the boost sim

  • Can you port Telstra postpaid to this?

    • Doesnt look like it

FOR NEW CUSTOMERS OR PORTING CUSTOMRES FROM OTHER NETWORKS TO TELSTRA

    • nope. I believe you have to port off the Telstra network and then come back. previously, people have mentioned you can't even port from the likes of Woolworths and Aldi to boost or Telstra. You need to port off onto the Optus or Vodafone network.

But it's fairly easy to port to a 28-day sim that's on special at Colesworths. I usual stay for the period of the plan then port back, but others port out and straight back.

      • -1

Can you port from Vodafone to Kogan directly?

        • I haven't heard of any problems. The restrictions here are Telstra ones. You can port from Telstra/Boost to Woolies/Aldi no worries, but Telstra don't like people using these cheap prepaid sims to essentially recharge. They're cheap to attract new customers.

  • Isn't Woolies mobile better than this, esp considering the 10% off 1 shop per month that comes with it?

    • Depends on coverage you want. Some of the woolies plans don't have 5g also if you are after that.

      • Also Telstra network vs it’s reseller network.

Btw wasn’t this plan cheaper few months ago?

  • FOR NEW CUSTOMERS OR PORTING CUSTOMRES FROM OTHER NETWORKS TO TELSTRA

Can I port my number from Boost using this, or is Boost considered on the same network?

    • +1

      Hi
Yes you can but you have to call Telstra customer care for that.
      Thank you

  • I'm on telstra prepaid, if i move to boost do i need to port out first or can i go straight telstra prepaid > boost prepaid?

    Thanks

    • Hi,
If you are on Telstra prepaid you can port to Boost prepaid but you might need Boost customer care help to do that.
      Thanks

  • Rep can you please confirm if Telstra one number can be used with this for cellular on Apple Watch ?

      • -1

This is really a yes or no question. Does this product you’re selling on this page support Apple Watch number?

        • Looks like answer is no as Telstra one number only available with post paid

    • No still only available for post paid

  • The product webpage states "Activation expiry date circa MAR-2026" but the post says "SIM expiry date MAR-2025"

I need to start in Jun 2025 - will these work for me?

    • +2

      Hi,
If you place the order please add message need expiry after jun-2025.
We hope we should get longer expiry date sims in this week.
      Thanks

  • Anyone had any luck getting this added to an already active Telstra prepaid service?

  • Can I port to Amaysim for few days and port back to Boost to avail new customer price? TIA

    • Can I port to Amaysim for few days and port back to Boost to avail new customer price? TIA

      Yes no problem.

The only issue occasionally ports do get stuck.
I wait till a weekday so as to minimise any risk.
If it's just a "spare number" go for it anytime -technically Sunday is no go-but I have started a port and it has gone ahead.

  • Is there no way to port from Telstra postpaid to Telstra prepaid? If someone unknowingly buys a Telstra prepaid pack from woolies and tries to port their telstra number and it gets stuck, wouldn't that be a pain for everyone involved?

    • You can buy any other network cheap sim and port your number to that sim provided your post paid Telstra sim contract permits you to do so then you can port back in to Telstra prepaid. sim you bought.
      Thanks

  • Can anyone confirm if this long prepaid service can be converted an eSIM? Telstra site doesnt show eSIM is available for this prepaid plan.

    • Hi,
Its mentioned in the item description in case you might have missed it.

OPTION to convert to eSim Via Telstra app. (eSIM Supported device required)

      Thanks

  • Any more stock OP? @Telcobiz

  • any more stock please? @Telcobiz

  • Damn just converted from telstra postpaid to prepaid on a $2 sim before I saw this deal. Was hoping it would be a recharge voucher :(

  • Hi Rep, I ordered the SIM on 30th Sep, and there has been no progress on the order status. I messaged and emailed, but there has been no response at all. Can you please help? Thanks.

    • Hi,
Could you please check your email junk folder as well. Sometimes emails are delivered there too. I cant recall any email which we haven't replied.
Furthermore all the orders have been processed the date you just have mentioned.
