For those of us playing at home, what's the $ value of that 6x points for say, a $100 GC?

    • +10

$0, points only award on $150+ purchases.

      • +1

I chose a round figure as a basis not considering the minimum, whoops.

        Answered below anyways.

        • +4

Half the points to get %
          So 6x points is 3%
          10x points is 5%

    • +8

If you purchase $150 worth of card(s) you will collect 900 points which amounts to $4.50

  • So, my quick maths says the purchase of a $150 gift card will earn 900 points (= $4.50) under this offer, plus an additional 3% off if purchased in-app (= $4.50), giving a total discount equivalent to 6% off

    • +1

giving a total discount of 6%

      No Thanks

    • Once only, up to $500.

      • +1

I would take any savings I can, even if that means $30 on max of $500GC

      • Doesnt it say limit is $500 in the app or $2,500 on the website?

        • +2

Yeah but the 3% discount is only via the app. So the website will only give you the 6x points.

    • +2

Incorrect, the purchase is $145.5 for $154.5 of value.

      (145.5/154.5 - 1)*100 = 5.83% off.

      • +1

Yes thinking about it again in terms of money in/out like you put it, I agree with you. Quick math fail on my part :)

I have also got another offer 1k points, no min spend, targeted for sure

      Yep same here

note that Wish gift cards also works in AMPOL sites in additional to EG. EG sites now also accept Ampolcash card and digital QR version.

    • +1

Where did you hear about WISH gift cards working at Ampol service stations not operated by EG (e.g. Ampol Foodary service stations)?

    • @rjams23 Did you use the WISH gift cards at an Ampol Foodary? I rang Ampol Foodary East Perth who said they don't accept WISH gift cards.

Website says WISH gift cards can be redeemed at participating EG Ampol fuel sites. No mention of Ampol Foodary.

@WookieMonster Is there an updated version of the tables in this 2022 post? (Found on a Google search).
      Thanks.

      • Apology my bad on this .. i was mistaken. it's EG Ampol … not Ampol Foodary. Should have gone to specsaver !

      • +1

I do not keep anything like that up-to-date. I wrote a simiarish table earlier this year.

I tend to keep the Fuel Discounts wiki up-to-date, and if you look under each service station brand, you will see:

        • The loyalty program accepted (if any)
        • A list of known fuel discount offers
        • Whether loyalty program credit (e.g. Everyday Rewards Dollars, Flybuys Dollars) and/or gift cards are accepted as a payment method. (I tend to avoid listing the 7-Eleven digital gift card in here for service stations other than 7-Eleven, as that is something that I think is better suited being covered on the Gift Card FAQ wiki.)

Remember if you know someone that has a seniors card you can get 5% off WW gift cards all the time https://www.seniorsonline.vic.gov.au/seniors-card/wish-gift-…

    • +1

Thanks for the info. That's for seniors in VIC and NSW. Unfortunately not for seniors in WA and possibly other states and territories.

  • Hmmm, on mobile data no Vpn
i get the verification code windows pops up for 1 sec and the the app displays 'Something went wrong'

But i still receive my texted code from bank

Anyone successfully made a purchase? I've tried repeatedly with my three cards: CBA debit, CBA credit, SGB debit. Get network failed error and sometimes all the way past OTP verification, even says it's wrapping up my gift card and then purchase not complete. I've already tried the tricks like adding and removing card, and my phone number is already saved in my account details. Also had problems with the last deal for CBA cards, but SGB debit worked that time.

    • Yes on second go. Was my first ever purchase through the app though.

  • +2

Normal amount of points on purchase of gift cards is 0 points per $ spent, not 1 point per $ spent

So why isn't 6x points zero? What is the basis that it is 6?

  • Need to make this very clear "This offer is only available to registered Everyday Rewards members who received this offer directly
via this email or in their Everyday Rewards app."

    https://giftcards.woolworths.com.au/medias/GCV-8041-Aug-24-G…

I don't use the app and didn't get the email so can't use the offer.

  • Got the pop up in the app, bought $500 Everyday Wish for $485 and paid with AMEX. It pulled my AMEX card details automatically from somewhere (probably entered it previously into Everyday Rewards) and sent me an OTP to confirm.

Wonder when the points will be credited… I thought usually this stuff is pretty instantaneous with Everyday Rewards.

EDIT: Just read the T&Cs and says 14 days.

    • +1

I thought usually this stuff is pretty instantaneous with Everyday Rewards.

      Usually, but not always.

The T&Cs actually say: Your bonus points will take up to 14 business days to be loaded onto your Everyday Rewards Card after the end of the promotional period. That means you should expect the bonus points to land by 26 September.

During the last deal, it took nine business days after the end of the promotional period for the bonus points to appear on my account.

Also, not all purchases and not all participating businesses credit Everyday Rewards points instantly:

      • In-store purchases at Woolworths, BIG W, BWS and EG Ampol have almost always been instant for me, but there have been occasions when the Everyday Rewards system was offline and points were not credited until a few hours later or the next day.

      • C&C purchases at BWS usually take at most about an hour after collection for the points to be credited to my account.

      • A FuelPay purchase at an Ampol Foodary a couple of weeks ago took one business day for the points to be credited to my account.

      • I once had an in-store purchase at Ampol Foodary take 9 business days to be credited to my account. The Everyday Rewards T&Cs said it was supposed to be credited within 5 NSW business days, so when I contacted Everyday Rewards and pointed this out about 7 business days after the purchase, they gave me 2000 points as an apology. I don't think Ampol Foodary is usually that bad, but then again, I rarely purchase from an Ampol Foodary accepting Everyday Rewards…

For those like me who kept getting the error message "Something went wrong" and were never able to get Everyday Gifting to work in the app: after calling their Every Rewards team, Everyday Pay, and various other support lines multiple times—with no one able to figure out why or how to fix it—finally, one genius on the chat support team checked all the details on my account. He discovered that my mobile number was missing from my Everyday Rewards account. He added it to my account, and after updating the mobile number, I went back to Everyday Pay and tried to buy the gift card again, and bam—it worked!!

The solution is to add or update the mobile number on your Everyday Rewards account (not your Woolworths account). This one missing piece of information was causing the error.

I hope this helps someone else!

    • Hi thank you for your info. My acct has my mobile registered already and I couldn't update it as it is still the same number and keeps saying no update has been recorded.. lol .. still getting that stupid message.

  • If you're accumulating qantas points, you better off get the GC from the marketplace. eg: $250 gives you 1000 QF points. (ER converts only 2000 ER points to 1000 QF points)
