Isn’t this the usual price of this kit?

    • +7

Yeah been this price for a couple months now, not really a deal

    • -2

Its a deal in the sense that "its a promotion item" to Bunnings and Ryobi fans. But yes if you are being critical its a "use case deal" cause its the normal batteries where the 5Ah high performance batteries are the same $239 without charger.

    Hows this a deal? Curious

    • -1

      Yes, generic batteries anyone?

      • -3

Yeah had good experience with generic 9ah ones on ebay

        • +1

lol 9ah in the same space as 5ah? Hmmm

          • @WhyAmICommenting: Is it same size? I didn’t check.

I only had a bunch of authentic 4ah and 2ah ones from various buys over the years. They don’t seem to last that long with the Ryobi hand shop vac or the hedge trimmer or pressure washer. So rolled the dice on generics. The generics whatever the actual capacity is was a fraction of the price and get the job done . Eg can blow the back and front yards in 1 go, whereas needed 2 x 4ah ones to get through it before. Though that being said there’s prob an age factor to my authentic ones too.

The 4 and 2ah authentic Ryobi ones I just use with my drills now.

I was always curious about generic batteries and then watched this guy and decided against it:

        • Thanks for sharing, this guy is excellent! Got straight to the point, and actually speaks at pace! Too many youtubers in that area love to talk slow and waffle on, this guy is breath of fresh air!

      • batteries from the Waitley Official Store on aliexpress have reviewed/compared very well (including by Project Farm on youtube).

I just got another pair of 5ah from them.. 5ah x 2, for about $130.
Shipping was indicated to be months but they arrived in 2 weeks.

I plan to do my own testing on them soon (to see if quality is still ok).

I don't think they sell Ryobi so I buy dewalt and adapt them to ryobi.

        • @jinkerjinx

Pretty sure Waitley don't do Ryobi batteries.

          • @Jessie Ryder: I use an adapter so I can use them on my Ryobi stuff (even the lawnmower, although this may not be wise due to extra current/heat)

Waiing for the $99 4ah Drill combo to come up again…

  • What’s the original price? Still seem expensive

    • -1

Usual price is the same $239 but without charger

  • +2

Not a deal. It's this price most of the time. Purchased last week.

  • +1

Normal price is a deal now ?

  • Would be a good price with 5ah High Performance battery instead of these ordinary ones.

  • This shit is full price

  • I am not sure if I can justify paying this much for Ryobi.

  • Has any1 gotten Ozito batteries work on Ryobi/deWalt/Makita … etc? Ozito may not be as strong but they should be safe and a lot cheaper.

    • You can get adapters yes

    • yes, with an adapter. all good
