  • Does Pure VPN work in China ? Travelling to China soon and looking for a reliable solution to keep connected .

      unlikely,use Shadowrockets

      • Thank you. Let me try.

If you can, use an eSim which routes through a foreign country.

E.g. Nomad eSim connects via Hong Kong which isn't subject to the firewall.

If you're using WiFi, then your best bet is shadowsocks like Wallace said.

      NordVPN struggled.

      • Thanl you. Actually I think esim is a good option. I used to use Optus prepaid data roaming $20 for 10GB over 14 days. This option is no longer available after Optus recently migrated all old prepaid plans. If anyone knows how to get Optus $20 roaming data addon please kindly share.

    • I used LetsVPN earlier this year (around April-May) and it worked fine, very cheap too so check that out.

Shadowsocks seemed like a hassle to set up so I just went with Lets.

      • Thanks for your insights.

    • It worked for me last year
I went to China for 2 weeks without any issues

  • This makes no sense. They are giving everyone money to use their trash vpn?

    • They got people's data …
I got the profit previously through Cashrewards promo.

I don't use this VPN. Only for the cashback profit :)

    • Do you believe they protect your data and never scan/harvest it?

      • No. That's why I only purchased it for cashback profit. Do not use it if you don't want/trust.

        • I just tried it, payed with PayPal and got charged $202. I’ve no used TCB before but it doesn’t show that it’s processing the Cashback?

          • +1

@iDeker: After login TopCashback and clicked the link to PureVPN then purchased it, I got confirmation email from TopCashback in almost 45 minutes.

            • @neoleo: Ok thanks. I’ll wait a bit and see if I get the email too otherwise I’ll refund and try again

  • How long does it take to get paid from TCB for this one? I can't see it on the site if we need to wait 3 months, 6 months, etc.

Last time through Cashrewards, I bought this VPN on 29 May, cashback 11 July. The length of approval should be similar.

      • Awesome thanks

  • "error detected…" oh well.

    • +1

Did you try through a browser? I use Chrome mobile browser in my android phone for cashback transactions.

For example in Chrome - Settings - Privacy and security - Clear browsing data - Advanced - All Time for Time range. Then only tick:
      ✓ Cookies and site data
      ✓Cached images and files
      ✓ Site settings

Use new/different email and better use Paypal maybe. You can put many different emails in Paypal and set default email too. In PayPal I used new virtual card from Wise that can be deleted and get another new virtual card (max 3 virtual cards, delete, repeat).

    • Did you happen to pay using 28degrees? Getting the same error.

      • As mentioned earlier, the issue was the email address I used.

  • Tracked in 30 mins. But so far, the speeds are unremarkable. Only about 10mbps

  • Clunky vpn
But free money if you're willing to endure the cashback dance

According to my experience, these cashbacks on VPN's are always on 2 years standard plan without any extras.
I might be wrong but always got paid on 2 years plan from different Reward companies.

    • +1

I got PureVPN cashback from Cashrewards for 5 year Standard plan only previously :)

      • -3

CR is the best. No one can beat them 👍
With TCB I reckon its only 2 year plan which eligible for cashback. Got mine tracked for $109.79 for 25 months by paying $83.84.

        • Where does it say only 2 year plan in TCB? In PureVPN website after clicking from TCB, people can choose 5 year plan too. Only Standard plan, no Max plan in view from TCB link.

          • -1

@neoleo: Well I reckon 2 years is enough with one VPN and then have an option to change it to other and get cashback again.

        • Well if you’re content with $26 profit instead of $50, Be MyGuest 😆

          • -4

@noelhoi: Mate I got profit of $26 for 25 months and you got it for $50 for 5 years probably. So do the maths! 🤔

            • @Be Happy: Why do you assume the time period matters? If you’d read from comments above, many of us only in it for the profit, not functionality, as there are better VPN providers out there. Hence, the plan that pays out higher, the better, since it’s a ONE OFF.

  • Paid 5 year Standard plan 3 hours ago. Still waiting for tracking on the TCB platform…

    • Bro @neoleo says 5 year standard plan is included. 🤷🏼‍♂️
I took 2 years plans and got tracked within 20mins.
      Just saying!

    • +1

It was almost 45 minutes tracking for me. Did you use app or browser? Desktop or iphone/android?

I suspect many people fail from using desktop or app/browser with add-ons in phone or iPhone …

I always use Chrome mobile browser in my android phone for cashback transactions.

      • Safari at my Mac, with all tracking enabled and privacy protection disabled, which I always use for cashrewards/shopback

well, will just wait a few days before asking for refund

Hi. You'll need to please be patient. I can see there's a significant reporting delay today for a particular network's API affecting the likes of PureVPN, NordVPN, Woolworths, BIG W and lots of other merchants. This does not mean tracking is lost. It simply means it may not track to you for hours, but should eventually get there. All the best 👍

    • i Don't trust topcashbaxk no more.

won't let me take out my $30

      • +1

What do you mean exactly please?

Edit: Don't worry. It was quite easy to find you based off your username. Looks like the fraud team terminated a number of accounts due to multi-account abuse?

        • I only have one account ?

          • @AndrewMTG: PM me and I'll explain. Thanks.

  • Signed up for the 5-year at $197.57 AUD, seems to have billed in USD (which is odd as visiting their page from Google instead of TCB shows the price in AUD, and at $199.95), but considering they're paying me can't complain about a higher figure and ergo more profit.

Will see how long tracking/payment takes. The (almost 100%) cashback with NordVPN the other month ended up paying out fine though, so here's hoping.

    • +2

Update: Tracked after 4 hours at $241.12, so after whatever taxes or the like are excluded you're looking at 122%~ cashback, can't complain about free money though.

  • I have nordvpn for another year or so, thinking of gettingthis for 5 years and usingit after nord finishes. Worth getting?

    • Performance itself is apparently a bit average but should suffice for most purposes.

Privacy-wise, seems they store logs of what user/IP connects to a server (though not browsing history/content), and have turned that over to the FBI in the past however.

  • Pretty weird, it didnt tell me the cost and i was unable to find out if it bills in USD or AUD , used my amex to pay instead of my no-forex card :(.

  • I haven't received any notice of the cashback yet. I used the app as my experience with the other cashback sites is the app usually is recommended. I checked the app and it doesn't even show any clicks to websites etc so you can't tell if it even registered your click to purevpn like the other apps.

    • +1

Check clicks to sites here https://www.topcashback.com.au/account/earnings/clicks/

Mine tracked last night in under an hour (used Chrome browser on desktop).

      • I did eventually get an email saying its been tracked, so hopefully it all goes through ok. So do people prefer using desktop browser over phone app? I thought generally the companies for cashback recommended using the app as less issues?

        • CR and TCB I prefer using desktop as there's generally no issues (I just make sure a couple of my extensions are disabled prior to clicking through), SB I use the app.

  • it has been 10 days since i bought pureVPN, but TCB site is still showing the cashback is 'pending'…
do i have to use the purVPN for it to turn confirmed?

    thx!

    • +2

It'll get approved in 12 weeks.
