I am looking for a dual monitor system which will be primarily used for work from home ( up to 4 days per week ) and gaming ( 3 days per week , mainly Microsoft flight simulator ) . Can you plz recommended me a suitable monitor for my requirement ?

What size? What resolution? What panel type? What budget? What connectivity? Help people to help you..

  • Generic recommendation without more information:

    Primary: Dell G2724D 27” QHD 165Hz Gaming Monitor $370.35
Secondary: Same or from above - S2725DS

You could also consider a monitor with a built in KVM as you're using multiple devices.

@jv: More authentic experience and barely visible. Without more information from OP, we can't know that's not what they're after.

nowadays you probably want 1440p x2

if I was starting from scratch, probably 2 of these, mounted a dual arm or two single arms.

Plenty of other options if you want a primary gaming monitor.

  • I'd suggest a pair of these

also onsale at moment.. save 300

    • I'd suggest a pair of these

That is a huge pair !!!

    • Its too expensive for me at this stage. Thanks for the recommendation though.

I think you should look into the unique Kogan 40" 5k2k Monitor, its not a gaming monitor, but for Flight simulator it would be perfect, you also won't have to deal with bezels in the middle.
Its currently on discount ($700, All time low is $600, but this is still reasonable) still decent value and kind of matches a dual monitor setup in price and screen real estate.

I'm still happy with mine and I made a small review when I received it

and subscribed to your channel as well.

Can I screen split just like a dual monitor setup ?

Multitasking is built into Windows. If you drag a window to either the side of the screen, it will automatically snap that half. You can also get Power Toys (Microsoft software that enhances Windows) and use Fancy Zones to create all kinds of custom size zones that you can snap windows onto.

You can actually also use the monitor as two monitors, if you hook up two devices, you can split the screen into two halves, one for each device. The option is called PIP in the menu (Picture In Picture)

    • but for Flight simulator it would be perfect,

Haha, now advise the OP on which GPU will be required to run a Flight Sim on this monitor (HINT: it is more resolution than 4k)

Technically its 5K, so 4080+ if you want the MOST out of it lol.
Though with the slow nature of flight simulator, DLSS/Frame gen will come in very handy with not much degradation to the experience.

Strongly recommend considering a single ultrawide monitor for your use case. I dropped the dual monitor setup and went ultrawide about 4 years ago and haven't looked back.

I work from home full time in data analytics, and game on it the rest of the time. Works brilliantly and is on about 15 hours a day. You will simply need a desktop window manager for your OS to be able to manage windows easily. For Windows, I use Fancy Zones which is part of the official MS PowerToys.

    • Thanks , which ultrawide monitor did you go for ?

I managed to get the stacking hacked deal for the Alienware AW3423DW for $1400 at launch ($2299 RRP). The newer version of that (AW3423DWF) retails for much cheaper at $1259 RRP.

    G3223Q, i paid 720, looks like it's 600 now.

  • Possibly a Dell or Alienware 38" or how're large they are nowadays. I got a Dell 3818DW around three years ago and it has been great. Used for work, study, now MSFS and DCS. Holy grail is the Samsung Odyssey Neo G95NC! That 57" would be 'chefs kiss' for all of my use cases.
