    Smart Ring $359
    Up to 7-day battery life

If you don't recharge, does it annul your marriage?

    • +3

Only if your marriage runs on batteries

    • +8

There are three rings in a marriage. The engagement ring, the wedding ring and the suffering

      • Not the smart ring?

  • +2

looks like it's the gen 1 model, gen 2 is currently on kickstarter at the moment and due to launch end of sept.

Been using the gen 1 for a few months, happy to answer any questions

    • Interested to get one myself. I have friends having similar ring bought from Ali so just wondering what is the difference between these two?

      • Gen 2 has better battery life (10-12 days advertised vs the 6-7 of the gen1), is lighter, has sleep apnea and period tracking compared to the Gen 1. Also can track the battery of the case which you can't do with the Gen 1.

I've got the size 14 ring and it's already plenty light for me. It's just a little on the chunky side but not a real issue. I've also been getting 5-6 days between which is honestly plenty.

    • I've been looking at something more minimal to replace a Fitbit Sense. Was ooking at bands so I can wear a proper watch again.

I use to like the fitbit sleep tracking but after a UI change it's no longer as good.

      How does the tracking compare?

      • +1

Honestly couldn't say how accurate the tracking is or how it compares but it is pretty consistent with itself. Picks up heavy exercise and sleep fairly well. I have to enter lighter cardio.

I quite like the UI, it's simple and you get the stuff you want at a glance. The deeper stuff is easy to understand when you dive in. Only stat I'm a bit iffy on is the stress indicator.

        • Thanks for the reply, kinda the same with my fitbit that I don't have anything to compare the data to but does seem consistent.

One thing that annoys me about fitbit is when I was out of internet/reception range it wouldn't sync with the app. Was in the wilderness for a week and would have liked to review it.

          • @whitlam: This ring does require internet access but will still sync with the app, you'll just get the basic measurements out - steps, heart rate, spo2 and the likes

      Totally

    • Is that in USD?

    Older version for more, why?

    • +3

its for smart people. smart tax

  • Gen 2 is available literally for less money and due out in a month.

    • +1

      Literally available where?

Appreciate the feedback, though in fairness - Gen2 isn't available/hasn't been released yet. The current gen features compare favourably to the competition's current offerings. As far as we're aware, Gen2 will be priced higher than Gen1 once out of the Kickstarter phase, so we don't believe it's particularly fair to compare a next-gen product that isn't yet available, to one that's available to order now (and shipping from a local retailer in a couple of weeks), and consistently receives positive online reviews and customer feedback.
Unfortunately we aren't able to get our hands on products that are in the Kickstarter phase, though we think the current Gen1 model holds its own really well and is priced very competitively.

    • +2

It's "not available yet" but neither is what you're offering. By "mid to late September" a gen 2 ordered now would've probably shipped as well.

  • Is it only used to track sleep, or can I use to make payments etc ?

    • +1

      Hey notJV,
RingConn is purely an activity tracking smart ring (for tracking your sleep & basic health stats like heart rate, blood oxygen, and stress).

We found the following YouTube user review helpful in providing a short but detailed explanation of its features and benefits:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUgS7WQ227c

    • Yea, I am also looking for a ring with fitness tracking + NFC payment.

  • +1

    What, no free ringsizer?

    • +1

      Hi Herbs,
We'd love to be in a position to offer this, though as a small business, it's a little tricky to ship out the sizing kit for free on all orders - absorbing two lots of shipping, plus the cost of the kit itself (which we purchase at an additional cost from the supplier as it isn't provided to us for free unfortunately).

Though having said that, we're only charging a nominal additional fee of $5 if you pre-order the sizing kit along with the ring - we can then ship out the sizing kit to you first once the stock lands, and you'll then simply need to get in touch once you've received it to confirm your correct ring size so that we can then dispatch the ring to you in a follow-up shipment. Hopefully this helps to clarify.

  • how are these different from the rings on Ali Express?

    • +2

      Hey BozoDubbedOver,
We can't vouch for the low-cost smart rings that have flooded the Ali Express platform unfortunately, so we're not in a position to pit those unbranded products against respected brands in this field like RingConn, Oura and Ultrahuman who have invested significantly in their products' R&D, build quality, app support, etc.

Simply put, it's always possible to find a cheap alternative to almost any product - but your overall mileage (longevity, durability, product support, app availability) will more than likely vary.

      • +2

more than 10 times the cost is one way they are different.
        and
many "respected" companies have had apps that they have turned off. OP I'm interested to know if the app etc allow completely local control, give access to the data to the ring OWNER, or does it have to go back to some location under company control and if we pay the over $300 we are only basically renting the thing?

      • I think build quality looks mostly the same. how much $$ has been spent on your app?

  • +1

    Looks like a Conn…

  • I am waiting for temu stock them

  • Need to buy 5 to become thanos

  • can i wear this on my toe?

  • Just wishing whatever the hurdles (regulatory?) are that stop payment functionality are overcome by at least one of the ring manufacturers.
