MEEaudio

Dear OzBargainers,

Mike from MEE audio here. I used to post quite actively on these forums, but since the cost of shipping from US to AU ballooned in the last couple of years, it's become exponentially harder to offer attractive prices to Australian shoppers.

Hopefully this doesn't violate OzBargain rules, but today we found ourselves in a situation where we have inventory in Amazon Australia that will be disposed off by the end of the week, so we are running a 50% off fire sale on select overstocked products on both Amazon AU and our website with promo code MEEaudio (coupon can be clicked to redeem on Amazon. Note: code is limited to one redemption per account, but can be used on multiple items at once). The price applies on top of already-reduced prices on many of the products. Shipping to AU from our website is unfortunately expensive, but gets significantly cheaper when you buy multiple items. Shipping from Amazon is free with Prime or $59 spend.

Store representatives cannot post deals for their Amazon AU stores. Amazon AU removed from title. Store representatives can submit their offers from Amazon store to this forum thread instead. — Mod

Hi Mike, long time no see. Yes your posts were very popular. I bought the M-Duos earphones from this deal which was only 10yrs ago lol. I've still got them bye the way. Great quality.

    • +2

I appreciate that! I was literally just looking at one of those M-Duo deals while posting today, and it said something like, "posted 9 years 8 months ago". Made me do a double-take.

    • +1

      Ditto that!

  • +5

i bought these M6 almost 10 years ago, used exclusively for bike riding.

only threw them out a few months ago as the plastic wire sleeve disintergrated and then left ear failed.

best value phones ive eve had, real beaters that just wouldnt die - and M9's still going strong as gym/dog wallking phones!

rep is genuine and really helpful too

Back in the day when shipping from US to AU was six dollars

    • +2

Yeah bought similar ones that were red from these guys 10 years ago as well. They fit so well and sounded great, but broke at least 6 years ago. I remember them so fondly that a couple of months ago I found the MEE website and looked at the pricing and shipping, and realised I could no longer afford earphones from them :( Anyway I hardly have the need for headphones or earphones now, and have a bluetooth Sony headset and Google Pixel Buds that are rarely needed to be used so cant justify (even at these prices) spending on them unnecessarily given the cost of everything going up like a mofo.

      • +1

I had the same ones too, fond memories of taking them for their first spin on my trip to Thailand. Great headphones

  • For some reason I can't find the option to enter the code on the Amazon page

    • Amazon made it so you can click to redeem now - if you're on desktop it should be right below the price on the product listing.

      • I'm using the Amazon app on my phone

      • Not all your items show a Redeem button, even on desktop.

        • +1

Ah, that might be because there are other sellers on the listing. You may have to pick the listing that says Ships from Amazon; Sold by MEEaudioAU under Other sellers on Amazon

          • @mikemeelec: It's saying shipped by you guys. Normally I add the code on the payment page but it's saying it's ineligible

            • @Jay80Lives: Which product, if you don't mind sharing? You can also dm it to me.

              • @mikemeelec: X1 in ear sports earphones

                • +1

@Jay80Lives: Thanks, appreciate it! Think I fixed it now so it should redeem as normal. Sorry about that!

    • +1

when you go to checkout, below your card choice should be an option to redeem promotional codes and such

  • Awesome! My IEMs that I use with my Oculus have a regular long cable… also one of them is slightly quiet (disappointing that I couldn't get a refund on this originally from Aliexpress).

I like these ones having a short cord, looking forward to trying them out :)

  • Pebbles look awesome as a fan of Beans. Reviews from Beans users also seem to quite like the Pebbles.

    • What brand are Beans, if I may ask? As a person with narrow ear canals, I've been "collecting" bean-shaped earbuds that may or may not stay in place for a couple of years now.

      • +1

I think ihfree is talking about the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live. They were commonly referred to as Beans when they launched.

        • Thanks - I thought that might be the case but then a quick search also found a "bean buds" and a "magic bean", neither of which I have tried. Thought maybe one of them had a large following.

  • +2

Thanks, stacked with FREE20 to get the CAM w/ ring light and the M6 VR for $32.99 all up :)

  • Tossing up between the Oppo Enco Air 3 and the Pebbles.

Looking for a pair of earbuds without eartips.

    • Easy returns with Amazon usually (unless earbuds don't apply bc of hygiene?) so could try these first?

      • +1

Amazon will take back earbuds and headphones in any condition, even if there's so much earwax they look like a half-burnt candle.

Ghost from the past. I bought A151P Balanced Armature In-Ear Headphone 10 years ago. It worked well for a long time. Nice to see you in ozbargain again.

    • +3

Thank you, (positively) surprised to see so many people who remember us and our products still here after 10+ years.

  • Hey OP the coupon doesn't work for this product on Amazon - are you able to apply it?

X20 Truly Wireless In-Ear Earphones with Active Noise Canceling

Thanks by the way, got two sets of webcams already.

    • Sorry, I am also not able to add this one to cart anymore at all even though it shows 3 available. I think it may be in the process of going out of stock, Amazon style.

  • Hi rep, doesn't seem to have discount for these, and cannot put in the code in Checkout "Enter your promo code…."

Get "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase." when entering "MEEaudio"

Can you take a look and let me know if these are still available?

    • Damn, I had one in my cart, but seems out of stock now :(

  • Couldn't resist. MEEaudio punch above their price bracket. Add a 50% discount and it's a no-brainer

  • Wasn't sure but based on so many positive testimonials in the comments pulled the trigger on usb-c ones

  • Hi rep, I can't purchase the low profile earbuds, even though it says plenty of stock on Amazon. What gives?

  • OP said CAM-C6A 1080p Webcam is $9.99 on Amazon, but shows 29. Maybe a typo?

    • Yes none of the codes work even though there is plenty of stock. I think the coupon codes can be applied to any one item only. I used mine on the usbc , now I can't use it on the pebbles. This is on Amazon btw.

      • I agree I think it's single use which would have been good to mention, think you can add multiple to cart in one transaction though.

        • Sorry, I actually had no idea that Amazon codes could only be redeemed once per account, added it now. But the code will definitely apply to multiple items purchased in one transaction.

          • @mikemeelec: I think it will apply only to one item regardless even if you added multiple items in one transaction. Worth checking it out, I can't since I already used mine.

            • @zxcvb: I bought 2 items in a single transaction and it applied to both.

              • @Domingo: That's great, Wish I had known it. I really wanted to get the pebbles, but it's ozb I thought I'd get what I can first and come back :(

    • Looks like it was out of stock and redirecting to the CL8A

  • Gutted missed out on earbud with anc! Any chance of bringing them back on sale again?

    • We still have a couple in our US warehouse, but none in AU - sorry. Surprised by how quickly those went!

  • I bought my A151 buds in 2011 and they're still going. I've been recommending meelec since.

  • I believe I just bought the last webcam on Amazon, cheers!

  • Wow welcome back Mike! I still have the M duos from 10 yrs ago haha…
    Damn
I missed the x20 anc earphones, any chance they will come back on special again?

    • +2

Thank you! I am surprised how many people still have wired headphones kicking around in working condition after 10 years!

We just have a couple of units of those X20s left in the US warehouse, unfortunately they won't be making their way to Amazon AU again as they seem to just sit there. Our various Bluetooth transmitters and wired musicians' in-ear monitors seem to be the most in-demand products in Australia by a mile.

      • ahh…all good, please do hang around and give us great deals every now and then…

  • Still have the earphones from 8-9 years ago!
Missed out on the webcam and USB C headset, but grabbed the pebbles.

  • +1

Just ordered one of the M6 USB-C Wired Sports Headset yestersday and was plesently suprised by the sound quality, It was amazing, even for the full price. A little bass heavy, just the way I like it, and nice and clear across the low, mid and high ends of the sound. Will definitely be picking up more!

  • Just received Pebbles (speedy!!) but disappointed in (a)2 hour charge time b4 use (b)tiny unreadable font in instructions

    • Technically the charge is not a must, it's just better for the health of the battery.

For the instructions, there's a video that should have all of the same info on YouTube here. Might be more convenient!

      • Found vid from readable hint on instructions, was helpful indeed.

  • I bought X20 yesterday to try. I like the simple controls and how it fits nicely in ear. It would have been nicer to add volume control as well but no complains as I can use phone for that. My only issue is I've not yet been able to charge it. I kept it in the case for 4-5 hours but everytime I take it out, it says battery low and turns off in 5 minutes. It could be a faulty unit, unless anyone knows what could be causing it.

    • I got the pebbles and exact same issue. Charged for over 4 hours, very slow to charge. Took it out this morning and connected, shows 90%, thought that's weird. Disconnected and connected again, now 80%. Very disappointing as the sound profile is excellent but not a good start at all on very first use.

Edit: Reduced 10% in 30 minutes, now 70%. Nice sound but horrible battery, disappointing!

    • Sorry to hear that, I would recommend putting the case on the highest current USB charger you have (like a tablet one) and letting it sit for a while to see if that can kick the battery into gear. It could have been stored for a while. If that doesn't do it, it's under warranty and we can just send you a new case once we confirm the problem is the case itself. Just need a copy of your order confirmation email (or screenshot of order) emailed over. .

P.S. We had the same idea, volume controls have been added back on our newer models (as single tap = volume +/-, double tap = standard functions). Added an audio prompt to tell you when the touch panel is activated as well.

  • Bought a pair of pebbles off Amazon (my second pair cos u like them). Unfortunately one of the earbuds doesn't work. Amazon offer a refund, but not a replacement and the sale is now over :(

    • I have severe battery drain on these. Unfortunately refund seems the best outcome, there is no guarantee the replacement won't have issues. These are very nice earbuds though, the fit is excellent too. Shame.

      • In both cases it would be covered by warranty - just forward us an order confirmation email or screenshot of your order itself (for address and order number verification) at sales(at)s2einc(dot)com and we can replace them from the US.

Battery life should be more than 5 hours on the Pebbles, up to 9 depending on volume and use cycle. Seeing a lot of battery issues in this thread that we don't normally see, seems like Amazon AU warehouse may be storing in excessive temperatures, but we'd need to get one back to have a better idea.

        • Thanks great @mikemeelec. I have just sent you the email at the above email with Amazon order number and proof of purchase .

          Cheers

  • Hi Mike,

I bought the x20 True wireless but struggled to get it working. The airpods do not charge or can you advise if I didn’t do it right.

    1. i charged the case for a few hours, light went from blinking red to solid white.

    2. I put the airpods in and close the lid, after 2h I tried to use them… they say low battery and shut off in a couple of mins.

    3. Tried again, this time I pressed the On button to charge. I can see that the light on the airpods went from solid white to off very quickly. as results, no charged, airpod turned off after 1 mins on ear.

Is this defective or I did the charging wrong?

    • I don't see anything wrong with the process, but I see a couple of people in this thread reporting unusual battery problems. I do recommend trying to charge them with a decently high-current charger (like a modern smartphone or tablet charger) with the earpieces inside the case to see if the battery will start behaving normally. If not, they are covered under warranty or Amazon will take them back if you'd rather not bother. Sorry for the hassle - as I mentioned these had been sitting in Amazon warehouse for a bit, but we have products from the same batch in our warehouse here and haven't seen this kind of battery issue.

  • Anyone have any ideas for attaching the mee pebbles to a set of keys? Case opening is very flimsy and can open by accident pretty easily, so would probably need to do something about this too.

All I can think of is a little baggy or something.

  • Bought camera and it’s got terrible quality picture on teams. People also said my sound doesn’t sound normal and it goes tinny. Need to return it. Unit looks really professional from outside though.

  • After using my pebbles for a while, I can report that these are excellent set of earbuds, one of the very best in its class and way more reliable compared to the likes of qcy. The customer service by the rep is exceptional, life long satisfied customer. Well done meeaudio.

Finally I have stopped hunting for earbuds.
