The DJI Osmo Action 3 Adventure Combo is at an all-time low (as far as I've found). Perhaps getting rid of stock before the Action 5 comes out. Buy if u want one. Happy days.

Not really lol. I wanted it to record speed on my rc initially. I knew i wasnt gonna used it as much but seeing how cheap i got it, its easy enough to offload for a profit.
Waiting for you to offload the camera for not use

Theyre neck and neck really, i went for gp since it came with a good gps. Dji needs a $150 gps remote or your phone to get telemetry
What do you use the gps for?

well, i was about to pull the trigger but on closer look the 4 is better - the sound is a lot better and image is marginally better. But probably not $300 worth better. Its up to you if you think 4 is worth it with that current price. To me it is as its a little bit more future proof - but many will think otherwise
The 4 has a larger sensor, and can record Gyro Data to use Gyroflow post production.
If you're happy with Rocksteady, this probably doesnt matter.
I bought this for a recent Ski Trip.
This is a great action camera, I was close to buying a gimbal for it but decided to try my luck with its stablisation, it was rock solid.
I made a big mistake with this at the beginning and ignored the need to register the camera with the DJI Mimo App. 5 Warnings I ignored them all and the camera bricked on the mountain. It is inconceivable to me that a company design it this way.
The DJI Mimo App is 800mb and not on Google Play because of the horrible security and permissions required to let the CCP into your phone, the App has 'features' but I rather remove this app.
Second this, great camera, much better than my shitty unreliable gopro.
You have to download the stupid dji app to register the camera, I've never used the app after that.
Also battery life on DJI is way better than goPro.
This is why i don't touch dji any more. So sad because they make great products.
Bought this from JB and had multiple issues.
Wouldn't buy again.
1. Arrived with two hot pixels (always on) on the front screen
2. The rubber ring around the lens was loose
3. I couldn't use this on my android without downloading a non-approved app (had to deactivate security to allow third party apps) so at this point I returned it and got a GoPro instead
Additionally I thought this had multiple axis stabilisation though it use pixel shedding so the sensor is somewhat wasted. Images will have better low light performance and less noise if all pixels are used as the more light captured, the less amplification (ISO) required.
did you speak to dji about it? there service is some of the best ive come across
I didn't even think of that. I spent 2 hours at JB as because I didn't deactivate my security and load the app, the front screen didn't come on to show them.
First impressions are very important to me. I've only had this happen twice before (once with a Hisense TV and one with an AOC monitor).
Haven't had much luck contacting suppliers directly but will keep it in mind in future

Prefer this over the GoPros anyday… had a GoPro 8 and 9 (and still do but no longer use them) and had nothing but issues with these overheating / running their batteries down incredibly quickly, not recording properly etc. Bought one of these cameras the last time JB had them stupidly cheap a year or so ago, and it's been an absolute workhorse… been on 3-4 trips to the islands of Bali, attached to scooters that've had the absolute ^%@#$ vibrated and shaken out of them, been dropped and flung from vehicles multiple times, and had its fair share of underwater thrashing too… and it's still working as well as the day I bought it.
Image stabilisation is unreal on this thing - looking back at my scooter drives where I've had things shaken out of pockets and even panels on the bike vibrate off, you can barely see any shaking on the footage (you can certainly hear it though). I just wish batteries were cheaper / third-party batteries were more readily available for these like they are GoPros, as that's the one sucky part about owning these DJI cameras.
One trick with DJI on Android is activation with either the non approved app initially or activating on an apple product.
Then you can just use Light room app as the main app for the cameras. Activation is the only caveat of DJI cameras/drones.
Own this kit for over a year now. Great camera stabilisation and surprisingly good even in low light. Great value at this price.
Great action cam. Used mine on the Barrier Reef snorkelling and river tubing in Cairns. Bought a 3rd party floating handle for it in case I dropped it on the reef. Video performance is excellent.
I can vouch for this model. Bought it earlier for travelling filmography. Has good and another non DJI model (GoPro) and intended originally for this DJI to be my backup. Gopro has battery issues guessing with using foreign plugs and likely using a3rd party charger with voltage spike… DJI using same charger nil issues and is now my go to.

I am a fan of these cameras, I have had gopro's in the past and they would overheat on me, so far no over heating issues on this!
