American Tourister Applite 4e More than 50% off - e.g. 55cm $126 (RRP $280) + Delivery ($0 to Metro) @ American Tourister

210
MCA-T824

If you're after a light (2.1kg) carry on bag, softside is the way to go as they're generally lighter than an equivalent hard side bag. We have the 71cm version of this case, it's a keeper and comes with a 10 year warranty - and significantly better quality (our experience) than the Standbags Flylite range.

Sale price is $140, the 10% off coupon brings it to $126.

(Edited to add - do what I didn't do and check the CR (9%) and SB (12%) cash back offers - OzB badge flipped over in disgrace)

I have the two wheel version of this and it's a quality case. highly recommended for those wanting to maximize the carry on option.

Second the above. I travel a lot for work and these are my go-to bags. They're cheap enough to not get hung up on "lifetime luggage", just use them for a few years until they wear out, then buy new.

I find the two wheel version of this tends to overbalance and fall down on it's front, particularly if you've got a laptop in the exterior pocket. That said, I personally prefer it over the four wheel version.

I like the size and weight of AIRCONIC CARRY-ON SUITCASE (55cm) for $130 but in Red colour.
Or even URBAN TRACK WHEELED DUFFLE S for $149.40 with 55L of internal room but only 3 year warranty.

      • @Raj Should have gone to Spec******

    • Useful links, thanks:)

  • Hi
Just wondering has anyone used this bag on Jetstar? Thanks

    • My wife has, couple of weeks ago.

      • Thanks!

    • Yeah our family has this one and we haven't had any issues. From my experience, if the suitcase is a few CMs off it's usually fine. They're usually more concerned with the weight of the suitcase. But this will ultimately come down to the person checking and how anal they are.

      • Thanks!

  • 12% cashback too.

    • I think coupon code is not listed, won't be eligible?

I just bought the 71cm, already have the 55cm and 81cm, but needed the mid size for longer work trips (81cm too big). Cash back tracked even when I used the discount code. Ordered Wednesday night, was delivered by courier on Friday. I didn't pay for next day or express delivery. That was Melbourne, I believe the warehouse is out west. Great suitcase, so lightweight.

  • do they have a landscape version?

    • They do, I actually just bought it. First trip with it to Adelaide next week.

  • softside is the way to go as they're generally lighter than an equivalent hard side bag.

    Lite-shock hardside is 1.7kg

Key word here from the OP would be "generally".

    • It's also on sale at $375… virtually triple the price.
