Nah it sprays it into the air for that HEPA goodness

    • Only use the mopping function when you need to spread the dirt on the floor out evenly,

  • Where to get the dust bag?

    • +5

They were available on Amazon for $15.99 for 5 bags. But out of stock now.
You can buy the earlier model bags on Aliexpress (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15165489/redir). like AU$17.85 for 10. They are slightly smaller in capacity, and the carboard guide needs a little trim to fit. But it works, I have done it a couple of times now.

      • Thanks will get some

In a true OZB way, you can empty the dist bag manually and reuse the same bag and use the money saved on another deal. The opening on the bag is big enough to get dirt out.

      • +1

That's pretty clever I assumed the bags couldn't be opened and put back together easily.

Still on my first bag so haven't had to empty it yet.

Dunno why the dock couldn't just have a huge plastic bin in it that we could easily empty.

      • I use one of those Ozito "industrial" vacs to suck the bags clean. Works a treat ;-)

The trick is not to let the bag get over stuffed. Do it about once every month

      • Great tips, yea I wouldn’t change a new bag every month like what the manual suggested, might just get a pack of 10 replacements in case the bag is damaged after long period of use. They rely on these bags to make huge profit and they are overpriced, should just use a plastic container.

  • Might bite the bullet too.

"Self Emptying Dock" was not helpful so I googled docking.

    Thanks, I dont need one.

  • Does the main vacuum need the bags swapped regularly? Any feedback. Want to pull the trigger but don’t want to be swapping out bags often.

    • Doesn't have a bag

    • It has a plastic bin instead of a bag. Only had mine for a week but it seems to fill up pretty quickly, would recommend the self-emptying dock.

      • Ah I see so only the dock needs the bag. How often do they need to get replaced?

        • +1

I don't have the dock yet, but based on the 8x extra capacity maybe every 4-8 weeks depending on your usage.
But as others said, you can empty them and re-use a few times too.

    • You'd need to empty the vacuum that empties the vaccuum

      • +2

you clean the vacuum cleaner that cleans the vacuum cleaner, making you the vacuum cleaner cleaner cleaner…

  • I have one. It does the job.

    • Yep, same here. Does the job.

  • I have this and am happy with it.

The L8 stick vacuum can be had for < $136 also. Grabbed one yesterday using same code: CBT20AUG

  • Just what I was looking for! Thanks

Will see how this deals with the 3 x golden retriever's hair and report back in a month.

    • I only use it to vacuum hard floors, and not to mop.

Been a month now and very happy with the self emptying dock. Has no problem sucking the dog hair/dust out of the robovac into the doc and lasted about 3 weeks before I needed to empty the doc. To do this I cut a slit in the end of the "use once" dust bag and removed the hair etc, tipping it into the garbage bin. I then used a 'food sealing clip' to seal the dust bag for additional uses while I source cheap replacement bags.

I still need to clean hair out of the roller about once per week which is easy to do. NOTE: Once I cleaned the roller and dropped a little connection piece off the end of the roller into the bin, luckily I noticed because not sure if you can replace the roller and I doubt it works without this connection piece.

I also tried to use the robovac without the roller and it runs but does not seem to collect dust/hair very well.

Only tiny negative is it is quite loud when the doc vacuums the robovac, but this only goes on for about 10 seconds.

Overall, for a robovac with self empty doc, that handles 3 x golden retriever's hair, good room mapping, great suction, easy to use, easy to clean, with minimal negatives, that does everything I need it to do for around $350 total, I give this purchase 10/10 and so happy I went with this purchase over a Deebot for 4 times the price.

      • Wow I’m surprised it can take 3 goldens. Their shedding is no joke. This is probably the cheapest self emptying dock vacuum.

        • Yes, I have found with the weather change over the past week they are shedding a lot more and it has clogged up the auto dock a few times…more so it clogs at the robovac's dustbin exit than in the auto dock itself. I have just manually emptied the robovac a few times…good thing is the dock and app both tell you if there is a blockage.

I may split a large family area into two "rooms" and have it return to the dock sooner so it empties before there is any blockage…clever little thing it is.

      • I have tried it on a low pile rug/carpet and does not handle the dog hair embedded in the rug/carpet at all (standard suction)…that is OK though coz this was never the plan for this robo vac, we have a Dyson V8 that does a great job of the dog hair on carpet/rug/lounge.

  • The only thing holding me back from getting a Lubluelu is them not having a dock which washes the mops and refills the water container… I need a robot vacuum for our second floor and having to cart our Eufy X10 dock upstairs when I want to clean upstairs is tiresome.

  • I was reviewing some Amazon reviews and a few were saying that the robot stops right before it fully engages with the station. Any idea on why that's happening?

    Thanks!

    • Not sure, mine docks great…can take a minute or so on occasions.

I bought the robovac and doc separately but (from memory) it auto detected the dock as soon as I turned it on (and removed the old one), It was very easy.

Only time it does something strange is when the wifi drops out when I have turned off the mains power or the modem etc…the robovac itself has been pretty much perfect.
