  • What is the alternative to a "portable" upholstery and carpet cleaner? You having to bring the upholstery and carpet to it?

    • +1

A larger vacuum like one. This is small enough you can carry with one hand while using it. Others are larger and need dragging around like a full size vacuum.

    • I didn’t even think to see what Bunnings sold and the reviews seem positive too.

    • I got the Vax recently and am a big fan. My old Bissell full size unit failed in multiple places after less than 20 uses, so I was happy to try a new brand, happy so far.

    • The Vax has a self cleaning function. Not sure if this one does.

  • Or compared to kmart one that is $99?

    • I’d try the Kmart one if there was any stock to try.
Does your local have any available?

      • None. Interested if anyone used the kmart one before.

My friend was raving about the kmart one the other day. I don't even know what we were talking about but it was nothing to do with it, so it must be good.

        • I recently got one and having had no prior experience with carpet cleaners don't have much of a reference point. This was one of the reasons I was convinced. With Bissell carpet cleaner liquid it did get rid of some stains in the carpet, however it leaves the carpet pretty damp and needs to dry out quite a bit.

  • I’m tempted to get the bissell cause of the name, I would like to know if vax is superior or not as good.
Kmart one is very cheap but not sure on that one
