Damn they upped mine to $80 a week for 4 weeks , might skip this round until they drop it again

    • +7

you could also get another flybuys membership for a different family member, rotate between the 2 depending on which one has got better offers for the week

      • +6

Yeh need to get onto that, otherwise I just Shop at Aldi until I get a better offer

    • +2

I got the $50 one but I got an extra $80 single shop for 3200 points to stack it with. Spending $50 is annoying enough for me, $80 ugggh! Can't pass it up though.

      • +1

Yeh I end up buying too much crap, freezer is already full lol

      • +1

Unless you’re skipping meat and fruit and veg, and predominantly eating grains and legumes etc, $50 a week is nothing. How is this a struggle?

        • +3

I don’t buy much fruit and veg from Cole’s as it’s 50% more expensive , then I buy meat from IGA as it’s generally cheaper , shop at Cole’s only when I have to

        • +2

We buy seasonal fruit and veg and get heaps of meat on clearance, got two freezers full. I mostly just stock up on pasta, carrots, tuna and tinned tomatoes to make my doggos dinner. Tins of tuna quickly add up.

          • +1

@Bdawg: My Cole’s never has clearance meat , yeh I stock up on milk, oil, pasta and perishables too

        • +1

I'm not the commenter you replied to, but just adding my personal circumstances: I'm a single person who doesn't smoke nor drink alcohol nor eat most junk foods and drinks, so I'm spending maybe $30-40 a week and always shop on Wednesdays to get first dibs on sale/specials items. So it doesn't make sense for me to try to accomplish these target spends as I'll just end up spending more than I need to.

          • +1

@brotherfranciz: If you're spending $40 then it does make sense. You would get $10 of stuff for free every week.

          • +1

@brotherfranciz: I'm in the same boat, but find it's a chance to buy irregular items, such as oil, laundry powder, etc at what amounts to a 25% discount.
Anyhow, I now have 300 litres of oil, 75kg laundry powder, 56000 rolls of quilton (hey, I'm Australian and live in fear of another COVID wave)… But I've got a heap of points! ;)

      • +5

Get some bulk items that you know you'll eventually use. 4L olive oil, 48pk dunny roll, 100pk magnum rubbers for your monster dong.

        • Thanks Seymour.

        • 48pk TP for next pandemic, I'll be loaded!

        • Preferably at half price.

    • +1

consider yourself lucky. Mine is $110 and ive never even used this offer :(.

    • +3

Lol. Mine is $340 per week for 4 weeks.

Bloody kids eating all my money. Shakes fist in air

      • +2

Wow you spend that much per week! That’s insane. Tell the kids to get a job so they can pay for their own groceries.

  • +1

Do giftcards work for this,? (Purchasing gift cards in store)

    • +3

      nah, excluded

      • Thanks

  • +5

Mine is min spend 60 now, after fulfilling the min spend of 50 deal 2-3 times in a row, still a great deal but when they jack it to 80+ ill prob skip to reset the min spend lol

    • +4

Yeah same, we do the $50 and $60 offers but when it goes above that we skip them til they come back down

  • +1

You're lucky if you get $50-70. Mine is $140 :(

    • +2

I got the $50 one 3 times in a row and each time I get an extra one off $50-$80 offer to stack with it! :D

    • I had that happen once and flybuys said it was “an error”* and reduced it to about $70

*I don’t believe it was an error, just they were trying to please me by lowering it to get me to keep shopping at Coles

      • Yeah, I highly doubt it was an error, I regularly spend $100-120 a week so they just pushing for higher spend.

        • +2

just skip one or two offer and it will go down

    • Big spender!

    • Same here with $140. I will pause using flybuys for two months and will see how will go.

    • haha mine is $270.

  • I got 4 x $80 this time.Will pass, generally only spend $50-60 per shop.

  • +3

last 3 offers I had were of $60. This one's come through for $90! Aldi it will be for the next month.

  • +1

    $250 spend x 4 weeks for 10000 points
    $300 spend x 4 weeks for 20000 points

    $1200 spend for $100 of points…yay?

    • Open a new account then

    • +1

Wtf! How big is your weekly groceries spend!

    • +2

You got 10 kids and two wives or something?

      • +1

Haha - 2 kids, 1 wife. Weekly shop would easily be $200-$300 depending on bigger ticket items. Love to know how people are spending less than that in this economy tbh.

        • Costco?

        • +1

It depends on personal circumstances e.g. if your kids are going through a growth spurt (especially if they are boys!); maybe you have pets too?; spending on smoking, alcohol, junk food, ice cream, soft drinks, etc. adds up quickly; if your family is very active and go through cleaning products quickly (soap, laundry detergent…); if your family eats meat for all three daily meals…

  • 4 x $70
    Stack with 4800/$100

    • Wow 4800 for $100 is awesome I keep getting 4000 for $100

  • These come out almost every week….

    • no, every 6 weeks or so

  • +1

does spending at Coles Liquor online count towards the spend? got a "Spend 90 get 3600 points" to stack with "Spend 60 over 4 weeks for 10k points" and id easily reach that if i bought some spirits/beer for at least the "spend 90" component

    • +2

      It definitely does

Note - it definitely doesn’t with Woolworths

      • +1

thanks, drafting my online order with some spirits and steaks to push through tomorrow morning lol

        • +2

I’ll take an invitation as payment aha

  • Mine is still $60 which is not too bad

  • +1

Is anyone else missing this offer in their app? I haven't received it this round

    • I normally get it via email, activate it then it shows in the app
the email subject is <first name>, shop and score $50 off your shop!

      • Appreciate it, I was able to search it and found my old ones. But I may have been excluded from this offer :(

  • Mine is 110 Per week :-( But also have another offer Spend >140 Get 5600

  • nooo i got bumped up from $50/week spend to $70/week

  • Has anyone noticed that they give out the points one week early? Since the bonus points arent instant - i'm not sure if the points are dated that way or it's really early.

Here are the transactions in my account -

    • Interesting. So what you’re saying is essentially you only made 3 out of the 4 required spend and was given the bonus points? Might have to test it out for myself.

      • I end up doing the final shop but I don’t track my flybuys account as closely so wanted to know if anyone has seen this. I’m not aware of any other 10k promos running and the emails I get - the dates align with these campaigns.

The name of the transactions are “bonus points email”

        • +1

Checking through my history and all were added to the day I shopped in the final week. I've been watching this recently.

  • Mine went up from 4x$60 to 4x$100 this time!

  • Does redeeming $10 worth of points in a $50 spend count for this promotion?

    • +1

      yes. tried it before

    • +2

If you transfer your points to dollars in your account - yes.
If you agree to the offer that appears on the screen before you pay - No.

      • So if you spend $50 and it ask if you want to redeem 2000pts for $10 off then the spend is only $40? I’m confuse.

      • the second scenario should still apply. You are technically spending $50. Redeeming $10 worth of points does not negate that fact.

        • +1

redeeming will reduce the total amount so $40 will be regarded as not matching the rule

          • @Sherlock04: has it happened to you?

            • +1

@Brakus: $80 or more must be spent in one transaction, after all savings, discounts and vouchers each week for 4 consecutive weeks. $80 transaction excludes purchases of all gift cards, iTunes cards, charity items/donations, tobacco and tobacco-related products,

Redeem points will become vouchers during transaction.

              • @Sherlock04: ok. weird bec I accidentally did this and it still tracked

                • @Brakus: Did you pay less $50 on that transaction?

                  • @Sherlock04: my offer was for $60. paid $54 after the - $10 point redemption prompt. Got email the week after that my week 1 counted.

    • Yes… but I just found out that if you win the daily Winter of Sports competition ($20) then it won't!!

  • i got 4x $160 spend for 10,000 points or $50 off

  • +1

Collect 10,000 bonus points or $50 off your shop
When you complete a $190 shop at Coles, each week for 4 weeks.

Double your reward by completing a $240 shop at Coles, each week for 4 weeks instead.

    Yeah Nah get (profanity).

Time to use my other accounts.

  • +2

Just received my 4x $50 offer. This is the third month in a row I've got it, and I must say I'm rather pleased to be saving 25% on products that are the same price at every supermarket.

    • 20%, not 25%, as you totally spend $200, get worth of $250 products.

      • +1

If you are forced to spend another $50 yes. However I need to buy groceries every week and it just depends who has the best point promo that week, so eventually it gets used. Hence it's 25% for some of us.

  • I got $60pw. The real question for me is, what can I buy from Coles that cannot be gotten cheaper elsewhere AND is something I'll likely need to make this offer worthwhile.

  • Hahaha mine is $90 :(

  • +1

Must have accidentally slid across to “offer 2” before activating and got $50 off a shop instead of the points. Fuming! Oh well, gives me a break I guess.

  • Mine goes up to $80, have to skip one month

  • Mine is $130 a week for 10,000 points and $180 a week for 20,000 points.

  • +1

Got this offer but they've upped my regular $50/week to $60… I am being tested.

    • Sane. I'm normally 4 x $50 every time.

      This time I'm $60

      Last week's spend was $60.15
This last week week through the coles app via click and collect it's $60.70

      • This month it just so happens I'm hitting the restock point on a few bulk pantry and laundry items so I've taken up the $60 spend offer. I don't do it every time.

  • I got $90 min spend for 4 weeks / 10,000 bonus points. I won't be taking up this offer. I will lower my spending at Coles for the time being and probably shop at Woolies to bring my min spend down a bit.

  • +1

    $70, skip.
Still have two weeks of Woolies 25% to go.

  • $50 / $60 on 2 FB accounts - i will skip $60

  • Mine is $70

  • Is it cleverer to use Flybuys for points travel - meaning transfering or using for shopping 10$ off?

i used to to do the 10$ thing but dont know if thats the smartest

  • $80 but got another 1k points to stack. Since they are kind with points I will take it. Don't want to see them leave Australia like New Zealand's.

    • +1

Flybuys is owned by Coles and Wesfarmers, it can't really leave Aus

      • Good to know. I check and see only WW in New Zealands. Interesting. Also seeing Flybuys was the biggest loyalty program, however, couldn't survive there.

  • $70 for mine. Normally $60, but have missed those discount, so will take it. Extra 2k points for $90 one time spend.

  • Mine is Spend $150 for 4 weeks for 20,000 bonus Flybuy points. I rarely spend that much so they really are trying to push up purchasing.

  • They have spiked minimum spend on all

Got $60 as minimum spend for last two times on both accounts

  • Got the 4 x $60 offer as well. On the fence as I just completed the same offer earlier this month, having to stretch more than I normally spend.

  • +1

    Finally $50 here. Go go!

  • $180 for 20000
Just completed yesterday spend $240 for 10k and stacked with spend $250 for 10k.

  • I just had the $50 a week for four weeks which finished a couple of weeks ago. Got it again!
