You might be mistaking this for the S9 FE, which is considerably cut down from the S9.
Though I do agree that the S8 Ultra has been on sale for this price since last year, so it's a meh but still competitive price

I don't know what you're looking at but the Tab S9 Ultra is $1499 or $1399 if you have the government/edu store login. Definitely not $1144 for the Ultra. Only the ultra models give you the largest tablet across any brand (14.6") and this is the cheapest deal you can get at the moment. Apple haven't even figured out how to get this technology across the line let alone how to make it affordable. Xiaomi has come close with a 14" tablet but it's more expensive than the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra (on this sale) so this is an absolutely amazing run out deal. Last chance to buy.
How sure are you that Gov or Edu is cheapest in this case?
They aren't always but it's rare for them to be beaten on the government/edu site. If you know a website that is selling it for that price you should post it up as multiple people have asked and you can't back it up.
@supersabroso: Nah those prices are only if you can trade in a device… so in my opinion its a bit disingenuous and snarky to just be putting "oh you can get it for $770"

This would have been a great price two years ago.
The S8 Ultra is an awesome tablet: Large screen, fast, huge battery. Get around 10 hours screen on time per charge. Fast charging from 0% to 100% in 80 mins.
There are some concerns over the Snap 8 Gen 1 power consumption and heat. Couldn't get Yuzu to work without graphics issues and hence haven't encountered heat issues myself.
Agreed - I moved from Snapdragon Gen 1 (s22U) to Gen 3 (s24U) - from a battery perspective (same size in both models) power efficiency is a vast improvement in the Gen 3s.

Great deal OP, got one. It looks like Samsung has stopped producing these which means it could be your last chance to buy a brand new Samsung 14.6" tablet at this price for a long time. Only stock left in Queensland & WA so I had to pay for $7.99 delivery.
