  I have the i7 version of the Toshiba L850 (~$700), the first thing you will notice is the really cheap feeling keyboard. It flexs/bubbles upwards so some times you really have to hammer the keys to type.

  Both models are pretty low quality / bulky builds.

  Be aware, both are only 1366x768! This is something you'd regret very soon.

  Not a bad price though, especially from "Hi, I'm Cost Lee… and I'm Expensive Lee"

  EDIT: further research shows the Asus's graphics card is quite slow and you cannot install nvidia drivers for a Hackintosh (in case you are planning to ;)

  Meh, these specs are quite underwhelming for the prices, to be honest. You should easily be able to find better deals coming up to Christmas.
  This is probably better than that 2nd Gen i7 Asus
