      I bought the $10 Amaysim-plan on 8-Aug-24 morning & CashRewards tracked it within 5m.

      Why -5 neggs ?

      • Mortin was negged because they negged the deal presumably for the reason of waiting for someone else to confirm tracking - which is not a valid reason for negging a deal.

          NEW to incentivised 1mths sim-plans & ALL my CashRewards-purchases were via APP (NOT-desktop).

          I'll say it again & again: for-NOVICE, traps-are-everywhere & they'll find-out the hard-way…how many failed money-claims can they accumulate in 90d using the SAME failed-process ?

          Btw, my 11-Aug-24 purchase was NOT-track via APP & I've sent an email to my ESTABLISHED-contact @ CashRewards to review: with many screen-shots & Amaysim-invoice (secured & can't-change). If not-tracked within 48hrs, I'll ring Amaysim to cancel & RE-purchase…very administrative process.

      • Always use a new number and a different email to register a new Doordash account. Use Paypal for payment. We can put many emails in Paypal and set default email.

        Clear Doordash app storage first in android phone or maybe reinstall the app for iPhone.

            @txb: Hmmm it looks like Doordash is getting smarter or there is a Doordash spy here … I can add paypal with new email but I can't use Paypal even with new card number to get through the Doordash payment. Even failed with Google Pay (new card number). Maybe need to try with new Doordash account and different way …

    CR is super slow with Amaysim cashback. My cashback is way past the due date and all CR says is "pending approval in the store's system."

    I've had better luck with TCB

      • New number…existing amaysim customer. I've bought another one weeks later via TCB and that has been confirmed. CR is coming up with heaps of excuses these days. They've rejected another one of mine recently for Paulas Choice.

    • That's weird. My last cashback on Amaysim through Cashrewards was approved super quick, even before I activated the SIM card.

      • Same with my account. Always new number, so activated already before delivery … But we can chat Amaysim customer service to change the starting date.

        • Apparently, they send them out activated but reset the start date when the sim is detected by the network.

          • @PatchyFog: Not with my current Amaysim number. After 1 day I put the sim card, the date was still before delivery. So, I have to chat customer service.

            • @neoleo: That's odd. Mine are usually already activated upon arrival, then within a day the expiry resets. I think you have to put it on the phone within 10 days of ordering though.

    my purchase from CR hasn't been tracked for 10 days now, submitted a claim. Might try ShopBack next time.

    • If you use android phone, try using Chrome mobile browser for cashback transaction.

      • I use Chrome on PC, bought some in June, and tracked fine, so not sure what happened this time.

        • CR tracking is hit and miss these days. I barely use them.

      Personally I don't like legit company like Amaysim banned from store representative posts. I don't mind with Sockpuppeting as store reps may make mistake such as forgetting to choose "I am associated with". If it is a good deal like huge discount, why not? Better than normal price …

      Someone said previously in other post that he was accused as store rep for JB HI-FI long time ago?, even though he isn't. How do mods prove that someone is store rep or not? Any deals/bargains are welcome to benefit a lot of people. Not only members read this, many silent readers here. Banning people to make posts may discourage people to inform other deals/bargains that we may not know or change people's mind to give a better deal here with special link.

      Even better if Ozb can make arrangements or get special deals with many companies to give special big discounts or other promo with special links for Ozb members …

      • Money-back system is NOT-transparent & OzBargainers (most likely NOVICE) are reporting failed money-back claims & this's the nature of the beast.

        Do we really need affiliates posting bias &/or IN-complete comments/reviews/posts deceiving people…isn't the current system clear-as-mud already ?

        • What do you mean money back system is not transparent? Cashback $8 for the 50 GB plan paid $10 is not transparent? For missing cashback, it's the tracking problem. So far I haven't got problems with trackings from Cashrewards and Topcashback. But one big transaction (PureVPN) through Shopback was not tracked or maybe Shopback deliberately did it for bigger amount, I am not sure. I got the money back from PureVPN and didn't bother with Shopback. So, I won't do big transaction with Shopback.

          • @neoleo: It means that OzBargainers can provide many screen-shots & Amaysim-invoice (secured & can't-change) etc, if Amaysim say that your purchases weren't referral from money-back companies then Amaysim won't pay them, who then won't pay you.

            Imo, problem can arise from many-source: failed money-back claims are littered all-over-OzBargain.

        Yes we still want users to post good deals for stores, even if they are banned for sockpuppeting. Only store reps are banned from posts, regular users like yourself can still post for amaysim. That is why it says 'banned from store representative posts'.

        If it is an obvious mistake, we generally won't remove it for sockpuppeting. Sockpuppeting is the deliberate hiding of your association when posting or commenting, or + voting deals for a company that you are associated with.

        How do mods prove that someone is store rep or not?

        We have a number of methods, we aren't guessing or assuming, if that is your concern. We take it seriously and have a number of system checks and manual checking to try and catch as much of it as possible. User's need to trust that the content on OzBargain and the votes gained on deal posts are genuine and authentic.

  • Ordered $24 120GB sim through Cashrewards early this morning around 6am. Not tracked yet. Usually I have Cashrewards transcations tracked within 30 minutes.

    • No tracking for me either. I bought a 32GB SIM plan through Shopback this morning. And I realised at the same time that the same SIM plan I bought a few weeks ago through Shopback did not track either. Bugger. This never happens to me. Tracking has always worked in the past. Maybe it's an issue with Amaysim. The first SIM I bought was using Chrome on PC and today's was using the Shopback app. Don't know what's going on.

      I have submitted a missing cashback claim for the one from a few weeks ago. Hopefully they pay out.

      • I don't trust Shopback for missing cashback. Maybe better you call/chat Amaysim customer service to cancel the purchase. Then buy again through chrome mobile browser for example. I always use Chrome mobile browser in my android phone.

        • Tracking all good now. It came through earlier this morning. Now just waiting to hear back about the missing one from a few weeks ago.

          • @Rodo: Shopback is the slowest in term tracking. So, we cannot expect tracking in the same day from Shopback.

    As usual, I use Chrome mobile browser in my android phone for cashback purpose.

  • NO Cashrewards tracking for me after 7 days. Submitted a claim to CR. Got an email reply asking me IF I have activated the SIM within 20 days!!!

    I do not think that SIM activation within 20 days has anything to do with tracking.

    Cashrewards failed this time, my FIRST CR transaction which failed to track.

  • Experience with activating the Amaysim Sim that may help others:
    I bought the sim on 10/08 and it didn't arrive until a couple of days ago.
    Put it in the phone and it showed that it was expiring in 17 days on 09/09 yet I hadn't activated it. (I read elsewhere on Oz bargain the it comes pre-activated, though that wasn't the case with the last Amaysim sim I bought. )
    There was no obvious way to officially activate it from my side, so I called Amaysim and they helpfully reset / 'renewed' the plan and I was advised to restart my phone. Did that and now all is good, with the expiry date 28 days hence.
    Had one further concern when I saw that I had been charged an additional $30 in Paypal for this 'renewal' of my plan. I immediately checked my Paypal account, and see that there is both a charge for $30 and then an immediate refund, so I guess this was the way they chose to fix my issue.
    Also had to turn off Auto-renew again, although I had done it previously.
    It's possible that the initial problem was simply that I didn't restart my phone, but having put new sims in this phone every month for the last couple of years, it's the first time I've had an issue like this.
    Anyways, I've detailed it here in case it might help someone else who ends up with a similar issue. Tracking on CR seems fine - shows as 'pending'.
    Also had to turn off Auto-renew, although I had already turned it off before calling Amaysim. The renewal reset it.

    • For those SIMs arrived pre-activated, I simply use them without further resetting. After one or two days (in one case, ~10 days), they will send you a message “we noticed you've only just started using your amaysim SIM, so we've restarted your plan date so you get the most out of your plan.” and reset the remaining days and even data.

  • I would have probably tried to use it without resetting, but I wasn't getting any signal, even though the app was implying it was activated. Again, maybe it was just that I didn't restart the phone, but glad that it was relatively straight forward for you @dsesaz, and that the plan was reset without any issue.

  • If we purchase the sim with the intention of porting out and then change mind on porting and only want to activate it, is there a way to change this during activation?
    The app wants to enforce porting.
    If we start the porting process and then deny it from the existing Telco, what happens to the activation?

    • I chatted using the Amaysim App before activation/porting and requested activation with a new number. I was provided with a new number which was then activated.
