Google goodness (or badness, whichever way you're inclined) on sale at Amazon. Good prices for both of these.
Mod Edit 12/8: The doorbell has dropped to $170.

Anyone know if Google Nest Doorbell (wired) is available in OZ ?
No. But this can be wired. I did it by replacing old bell.
Just cant 24 hour record with this unit, not the biggest deal but still lose the functionality
actually that's the feature I wanted - continous recording capability :/
@dj007: You can import the wired 1st gen from the US. Al they need is a 24v transformer which you can easily get from Jaycar
@skyworxx: This is what I did
@skyworxx: I ordered the wired 2nd gen from the US with no issues
You need to subscribe to Nest Aware Plus for that
I wired mine as well, and added a ding dong mechanical doorbell
You mean chime?
Thoughts of nest wifi pro? I've got normal nest wifi x3
For ease of setting up, integration with other Google Nest products, it's the easy option, and that price is fantastic. I get mixed results on a 1000/50 FTTP connection (four bedroom, two storey, two adults working from home with video calls, upload and download of large files on wifi but Xbox is on Ethernet) that goes from ~200/40 upstairs to 150/30 in my garage (10m from the nearest node, two thick walls between), but on the money in the house.
I'd heard a few random complaints from colleagues, mostly about video buffering being an issue but I haven’t experienced that. Between the 1Gb NBN connection and the new tech, everything is running smoothly. Daytime its two adults on video calls and file transfers, night time we're three sometimes four watching 4K, on games etc.
I wish I could offer a more comprehensive comparison to Orbi or similar, so my opinion is based just on the Pro. Before that I had the original Google Wifi (AC2200 I think).
Pulled the trigger, price is now $170
If you can wire it, this is great doorbell
Just wired mine up a couple of days ago. Used this transformer:

Thanks OP, purchased doorbell from OW.
Cracking price on the Nest WiFi Pro but I’ve read too many problems about them.
Any ac adaptor with 8V to 24V will work
Pity this doesn't support PoE.
But i am using PoE cable to pass low voltage AC
I had a Dehua installed by the builder which i couldn't setup.Their support is horrible.
Thanks OP, just picked up doorbell from OW. $161.50 after price beat :)

Thanks OP. Picked up the door bell and routers. Both work great even though our household is mostly iOS devices.
The doorbell is near instant in showing display on nest hub when pressed. Big change from my previous arlo.
The router wireless speed is noticeably faster compared to my previous deco m9
Doorbell seems to be this price across the board ($175 officeworks, bing lee, $179 JB hi fi, good guys)
No news on a refresh from next weeks' Google event right?
