        • Ah i don't feel so bad now..these folks have been paying extra. Thanks for the information

          • +3

@Royale with cheese: It pays for itself to be fair. Got annual membership half price at $35. Gives you 10% off one shop, once a month. So as long as I spend a minimum $30 in a shop, it's paid for itself. Realistically I wait til I do a shop of around $150 and then get $15 off per month. PLUS you then get freebies each month and 2x rewards points. Last month I got 3 freebies. Not sure why - my freebies totalled at around $15 of value last month. Usually I'm not one for subscription stuff, but to me Everyday Extra was a no brainer to save money cause I'm a Woolies boy 9/10 times that I shop.

            • @callum54: Spot on! I believe everyone got the 3 freebies last month.

            • @callum54: Makes sense. My groceries were $20 a week until i got married. Now I am in the same boat

  • +1

  • I got nothing.
Assuming it is under offers when you sign in and I'm just not a lucky one :)

    • +1

It's under the Extra tab on the app, provided you have an Everyday Extra subs

  • -2

Ah yes my favourite… 9 parts cooking oil, 1 part diesel
    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-07-13/cooking-oil-contamina…

    • Why do they do this sort of thing?

      • A) cheaper suppliers/source
        B) quality control costs money
        C) no penalties if they screw up, so who cares

People are always going to prefer buying whatever is cheap, ignoring the issues /risks. There is no incentive for them to do better.

    • +1

That's really bad. But is it related to the Woolies brand cooking oil?

      • -2

They send us oil, we don't test it. This oil is cheap as, seems reasonable that it very well could be.
Instead of going down the rabbit hole, I just switched to higher quality oils.

EDIT: Just quickly checked that bottle - it says it is 95% Australian products. So, safe from that contamination concern.
        Probs just straight up canola.

        • +1

Yeah exactly - the canola is 100% Australian. The link that you shared, that would be impacting (some) products sold at Asian supermarkets.

    • Not relevant to this oil, as this is an Australian product

  • +2

    My Extra perk is;

    Doritos Salsa Dip, Vars.280g-300g

    Would of preferred the oil.

  • +2

    I got toothpaste 😒

    • +1

      same here

  • Best shapres fully loaded flavour to try? There is sweet chilli , meatlovers , chicken and ultiate cheese?

    • Meatlovers

  • I got a cup of fantastic chicken noodles

  • +1

I got 1x pack of fantastic noodles

  • I have Everyday Extra, how to redeem?

    • Doesn't necessarily mean you get this particular offer. Go to Extra tab on the app and see what free item you get. Click Boost and then you're good to go.

  • Got the oil this month. Last month they were kind enought to offer 2 freebies,an yoghurt and some icecreams!

  • I got free Shapes

  • Toxic seed oil. Huge health costs. Not a bargain at any price.

    • -1

A lot of things we consume are inherently "toxic", but context and perspective matter. Like anything else, moderation is key.

As for seed oil, researchers at UQ and Harvard say they are OK.

      • You consume toxic foods?, crikey your game, this stuff is only useful for lubrication not to cook with,
check out eric berg he will educate you.

If we follow your standard, then the answer is yes. I do enjoy my KFC like few times a month, some people would argue that's toxic too. Also you probably come from a different background to me; where I come from people generally consume seed oils. Don't think their life expectancy is any shorter than those who primarily consume olive oils.

These days some people's obsession with so called healthy lifestyle has become something akin to religious bigotry. Your comment is a prime example - you've been a member since 2019, never posted any deal and barely commented either yet this stuff triggers you to leave a comment lmao. Unless it's a burner account.

    • It’s good for lubricating the paper shredder.

  • I got Fantastic noodles, and extra expired yesterday, so unsure if it is going to work, but it still has expiry of the 31st Aug.

  • Wonder how they assign the freebies? Seems like it’s based on historical purchases?

  • I always get sweet FA

  • Free Poison

  • +1

didn't get one. they must have found I've high cholesterol

  • -1

    I got free Colgates.

  • I also got the oil

  • I got a Clif Bar… Not something I'll eat by choice, but might be worth putting in the glove box if I get desperate one day!

  • Everyday Extra and Everyday Rewards (cards), are they all the same account and therefore are interchangeable and/or transferable to one another? I'm 😕 confused.

    • Everyday Extra is a subscription that can be added to EDR accounts. It's normally $7 a month or $70 a year.

  • +1

Vegetable oil is definitely not a healthy cooking oil … but hey its free!

  • +2

    Got a noodle cup, bastards!

  • got tilda rice pouches whatever they are.

  • How come I never get these. Is there a setting to select?

    • Do you have Woolworths Everyday Extra subscription?

      • No. Never heard of it

        • It’s a paid subscription, and free item is one of the perk, check it out.

  • My car was running low on oil. Thanks

  • I got free Heinz prepared meal variety

  • nothing here

they must know im a coles person thru n thru

    • because you dont have extra

  • I got Lemon Cordial for my Everyday Rewards Extra freebie this month.

Since they closed down the Woolies Credit Card, I no longer get the other freebie.

I am also a member of their Bunch program and got Arnotts Shapes as my product to review this month. Last month it was Woolies brand Light Fruit Cake which retails at $6.25, so not a bad freebie. It is edible, but only just. Best Bunch freebie I have had so far was Macro Organic Macadamias worth about $17 at the time. Also had an organic hot roast chicken, and quite a lot of other stuff. Reckon I have now had round $200 worth of Bunch freebies. Probably a long wait list to get into the program now.

  • These aren't deals they are just the monthly freebee from Woolworths extra that you pay for or if your in the bunch program.
