I'm not following the pricing either.
Regardless, I bought a pair of these on sale close to a year ago. Great sound quality, terrible cable construction. The end connected to 3.5mm jack breaks too easily. My first one went within two weeks, I sent it back to Amazon and got a new set and that one went within a month as well.
Not heavy use, quite the opposite actually, especially after the first pair went so quick. Turns out it's a known (and greatly complained about) issue, you can read up on Klipsch forums about it. Ruins what otherwise would have been awesome headphones.
I was planning to order that but having second thoughts if it's that fragile.
Will this be a better deal then?

Klipsch Image S4i Premium Noise-Isolating Headset with 3-Button Apple Control $53.98
Fragile would be an understatement, especially given how much they charge for these.
From the link you provided, the first customer image is complaining about the cord at the 3.5mm jack end, so I'd say the problem is consistent.
My 3.5mm jack end is a different mold to the one you're looking at.
EDIT: On a closer look, looks to be about 90% of customer images are complaining about the cable. Like I said, it's definitely a known issue.
I bought one of these a while ago, the cable broke too. I thought i was a bit hard on them, but i now know they are just bad quality. The other Klipsch cables are pretty much in the same boat, since i had a cheaper set. It is such a shame that for this price they couldn't use a higher quality cable for the headset, i am really annoyed. Klipsch speakers are well made, not sure why these headset are so bad.
Sorry first time poster mixed up the price. All fixed now.
This is not the amazon price.
It was $85 earlier on the day…
When was that? $174.13 is currently the cheapest based on camelcamelcamel
Camelcamelcamel isn't completely real-time, they ping amazon prices every few hours or so (from experience, this is my estimate) and update it from there. You'll notice if you check Amazon pricing on something daily, see something you're following on sale and then wonder why camelcamelcamel didn't send you a notification - there's definitely a delay.
Also, it was indeed $85 earlier today (excluding shipping, bringing it to a total of $100-$110). This has already been posted on Ozbargain and was moved to forums: see the following links
I think you have the wrong model, the previous Klipsch was the X10, not the X10i with the 3 button controller.
Not for the mic version.
now it's $174.13 + shipping
How do you get $62.46?
