Bosch Blue 18V Brushless 3 Piece 2 x 5.0Ah Combo Kit $499 Delivered @ Total Tools

480

I love how practical the 2-in-1 bit holder on the impact wrench is. And the aux handle on the hammer drill is useful.

You can redeem either a 4.0AH battery or a distance measurer, plus a Trademutt shirt.

Good deal on a brushless 3-piece kit with 3 batteries included - if you prefer to redeem the battery.

Bosch blue offers 6 years warranty, including batteries.

Includes:

  • Dang, just got the 0615990M18 from Bunnings for $479 redemption was 2x batteries and the shirt.

I think this model at Bunnings was $600+ for 2 peice only so good deal.

    I wish I didn’t have a mismatch of tools.

If I had to start over, I’d get this.

    • Just get battery adapters.

Good deal… and I love the idea of the 2-in-1, but myself and another fella I've met snapped the end off it… so it no-longer held bits. So I never bought that again.
Still happy with everything-else Bosch I have (pretty-much everything they've released over the last ~10 years.

    • +1

Bosch blue comes with a 3 year warranty out of the box and 6 year extended if registering the tool on their site right? I've never had an issue with their warranty process either. I've had a battery a few years old kick the bucket (one of my 8ah procore batteries) and they sent a replacement without any issues.

      • Total Tools told me Bosch said it wasn't warranted, and the repair cost was like $350 (more than a new skin). I was beyond angry at that point, and asked for the skin back. By memory, they said it was like $60 inspection fee to get it back… and it will take a while. It was around 8 years ago. Don't quote me on $

    • You can get the part from taobao, cost about $6 for 2.

absolutely great deal. Would have gone with bosch if I were to start over and get this deal. But already with Dewalt

  • Nice. If I could turn back time I would go with Bosch Blue instead of Ozito. Oh well

    • +4

Lots use Ozito as a secondary brand, I have a lot of Ozito stuff that I take around to mates as gear that I don't mind if it gets abused, also handy to have a second cheaper brand of tools when you can't justify purchasing the expensive brand ones for particular tools.
Point being, don't be afraid to run a 2 battery system.

      • +2

Yep. I run Bosch and Ozito. Some of the Ozito stuff is good enough. I've also got battery adapters.

So glad I started my tool kit with Bosch Blue.
Started with non brushless (brushed?) impact driver and hammer drill. Have since bought the multi tool, torch, rotary drill, blower/vacuum.
Kind of want to upgrade to brushless but they are still going fine with my around the house usage.

  • If you get 3 tools, 2 batteries and a charger (before any redemption) isn’t this is a 6 piece?

I’m sorely tempted to buy the set just for the batteries.

    • as per some of the comments, get this instead if you want batteries, comes with 4 with 2 being the procore smaller version

      • That's a really nice deal. Thanks.

  • wonder if bunnings have same set to price match?

    Edit. Is this similar set?

    • The TotalTools package has a more powerful hammer drill. The impact driver and grinder are the same I think.

      • This u can redeem 2 core batteries

        • +1

That's also a great deal if you don't mind a slightly less powerful hammer drill and won't need the half-inch impact head. You'll benefit from the compactness, an additional battery and a tool bag. You should share it as a deal, wish I saw that one

I love my Bosch blue stuff. It is a pleasure to use.

  • Is the battery compatible with the bosch home stuff?

    • No they're not unfortunately

    • You can buy an adaptor online to use the Bosch blue with the green home stuff

  • One of the best angle grinders on the market.. I use one and its done every job I've needed it for effortlessly. One of Bosch best tools.

  • Really tempted but think it is overkill for my home work

    • Wait until you hit concrete behind your drywall and your regular hammer drill just can't cut it ;)

      • +1

These hammer drills generally don't do too well in masonry/concrete. Better off with a SDS rotary drill.

        • Of course, I have both. But mine is ok for occasional home use

          • @djprima: Likewise to having both and it's so much quicker and easier with the rotary drill. For one or two holes, this hammer drill is fine.

  • The bosch wet/dry vacuum is literally the best thing I own. If you get this deal then aim to get the vacuum. There's nowhere it's not useful.

  • Can anyone recommend a cordless multi tool?
