No sooner than I commented on the board game bundle post about wanting this I see it on special on Steam.

Epic card-based Civ-game which occupied the number one spot on boardgamegeek.com for a number of years I believe, but famously a bear to get to the table for it's long playtime and fiddly cubes.

App implementation is very solid and obviously does a lot of the accounting for you so you can smash out games pretty quickly.
