Found this deal while google-ing about the TCL C845.
It seems like quite a low price for this TV, and I've heard a lot of good things about it.
First post, please be kind :)

Not sure why they would want to end the previous listing lol
a quick history search on this TCL C845 65" and I can't find a cheaper price ever posted….
If my mother had wheels, she'd be a bike.
Yeah but he's saying the 65" for $1199 is the cheapest it's ever been, despite being a year old
TCL 65C845 was selling for $1300-$1400 when on sale…TCL 55C845 has been just under $1K.
Getting the TCL 65 for $1199 now would be equivalent to like getting a new TCL 55C845 for $900…
@darktiger: You missed the point about three times.
Would any retailer price beat this?
I don't think there's much stock of these floating around now
You are correct, once the ~$1,299-ish deals stopped after they cleared the stock everywhere in advance of the new C855 (still over $2k for the 65") I couldn't find a deal anywhere, and those online only retailers who had them weren't discounting. That was until mid-June when I found a single unit on clearance at Bing Lee in Macquarie Park for $1,089 and grabbed it. Cue my smug face… :-)
Paid $1600 4 months or so ago.
Great tv for the price. Sound is good too - don't have a soundbar.
Is the Samsung s90c better?
Can anyone with experience on both please confirm? Thank you
never used either of them, but read a lot of reviews. S90c is a much better choice regarding almost every aspect. The only concern is the durability of oled tv.
The only concern is the durability of oled tv.
Which isn't much of a concern at all
Burn-in display is enough concern.
There are features in place to MINIMIZE the risk but it is there.
It is funny how OLED owners refuse to believe that their TVs have a hardware defect from the factory, it is not about of it but when that will happen.
It is the single reason why I got a QLED and can play my XBox on it for 5-8h non-stop and my TV is still like new 5y later.
@bargainhunter777 when you see OLED owners saying that OLEDs are perfect, laugh!
The year is 2024 and you will still cross OLED owners with defective TV due to burn-in display
@ratoloko: I have a 5 year old LG C7 OLED and JFC do i have some burn-in, Admitedly i probably shouldn't have had a pc hooked up to it for a couple of months but IT IS BAD!
Check out the purple and red in the below video and you will see what i mean.
Admitedly i probably shouldn't have had a pc hooked up to it for a couple of months but IT IS BAD!
Yeah if you use an OLED incorrectly it could very well get burn in.
@ratoloko: That’s why ABL exists. The chance of getting burn-in has been significantly reduced. In addition to this, LG offer 5-year Panel Warranty on the G4. I would rather sacrifice a minor risk of burn-in for superior picture quality. It sounds like you’ve been drinking the QLED-Aid.

I didn't say you can't get burn in. I said it isn't much of a concern.
it is not about of it but when that will happen.
I think I am on year 5-6 with OLED and no issues. Many friends/family even longer and no burn in or dead pixels etc.
It is the single reason why I got a QLED
yeah I am sure QLED have a zero defect rate.
@serpserpserp: Just another LED owner hating on OLED to feel better about their purchase. I've seen it many times before.
@serpserpserp OLED's Don't Get Burn-in
I bought an s90c for my friend through employer rewards and it arrived with a dead screen! They replaced the screen for him (didnt give him a new unit)
Not sure if serious? It’s vastly superior to this model.
The S90C was rated best TV by RTINGS: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/tvs-on-the-market
I've had this TV for around a year. Previously software was a bit buggy, but recent update has made it more reliable. For example, it couldnt output dolby atmos via eARC but that now appears resolved. Still sometimes get an issue where it black screens on startup where it should show the profile selector, but pushing back then reselecting the profile selector usually works. I imagine you can avoid this by only having one google profile on the TV as most people would do.
Overall great TV for the budget, especially when calibrated correctly.
Any calibration tips ?
IT was a while ago, their was a good post on reddit. Do note that the TV has multiple modes (standard, HDR10, Dolby Vision, maybe more i'm forgetting) depending on the source input. The settings you change only affect the current 'mode', so you'll have to adjust it once while watching each type of content.
First time i did it i adjusted it just watching regular SDR content, and then wondered why HDR still looked the same - didnt realise I had to calibrate it again. Once its done across all modes it sticks and mostly doesn't need any touching (except gamma, which you might want to adjust depending on how much light is hitting your screen at different times of the day).
AVForums has a calibration video on their YouTube channel, I followed that guide and I'm very happy with the results.
Good price, should add the product tag "TCL 65C845"
Just added! thanks

Waiting on the 755/855 to drop in price. The 755 is much better re: bloom abd has better black levels. The 845 is substantially brighter. I think hownwell the 845 does depends on whether thmmit is the X1 or X2 revision. 855 will blow both out of the water but pretty expensive at the moment.
From what I read, there's not much difference between x1 and x2, not many official comparisons out there so happy to be shown otherwise.
The main thing is it has the new processor and newer Google version, but even with the c855 that has the new processor and better technologies, the processing capabilities were not noted to be a major step up by rtings
I'll wait for the 75C855 to get down to this price thanks.
We can only dream

That and get a reputable VPN and she's all good mate.
65 inch is considered "mini" these days? yikes
Mini-Led is the type of display, it's not related to the display size
Damn, bought the C845 from Powerland a week ago for $1387 delivered through their Ebay store. I used a $100 off Ebay voucher which knocked off most of the delivery fee ($123). I thought that was a great deal and I've been really happy with it thus far. I guess I probably should have held out a little longer :(
Had mine for about 3 months, great tv with some strange issues:
Anyone had these? Solution?
Tv randomly going into standby mode? I E. Screen just goes off for no reason… We don't have nearby neighbours to be picking up their remote (issue I had with another tv once).
Sometimes slow to switch inputs or channels. 5-10 second sometimes. Cleared the cached and hard reset helped but still happens. Plenty of room left on internal storage.
I've had similar problems, but thought that it might be caused by my second TCL bedroom TV? Not sure, why but it sometimes just goes into Google screensaver pictures by itself?!
We do have another TCL at other end of house, blasted the kids the first few times thinking it was them and they weren't even in there and that TV was off.
Has since happened several times when home alone. It is so annoyingly erradic. Might happen twice in a day or few days in a row and then be fine for a week or two… Just can't get a pattern to work it out.
Hi OP,
Thanks for the share and congratulations on your first post.
Hitting the +1 for your willingness to post and yes it's a great TV.
