I was so utterly depressed by Amex's Shop Small promotion…I couldn't leave fast enough.
they sent so much marketing for it to only go for 4 days

I wonder if qantas ultimate has 5 qantas points bonus giving 6.25 qantas instead.
Not sure, I’ve got a velocity as well and it’s saying earn 5 points per $1 spent but not sure if it will actually be that when the offer officially comes out.
Just had a look turns out for my Velocity card it’s 5 bonus points so 6 Velocity points per dollar. Assume Qantas is the same?

This is insulting.
A HSBC debit card is almost as good and without the annual fee.
Nowhere near as good, when comparing the points versus cashback you’ll be far better off with an Amex especially if you do online purchases or (likely) are exceeding the cashback cap.
Can you only get this on one Amex card? Or is it just not available for the Platinum Edge?
I saved on 2 of my cards.
It’s only showing on my Plat but not the Plat Edge which is weird.
