  I got this headset and its great. If you're lucky you can find it in some JB Hifi stores for $49 on clearance. There was 1 left at Forest Hill JB last time I checked (bout a week).

  Looks like a great price. I'm in the market for a decent headset for Halo 4 sessions. Is it good quality in terms of sound and build for a first-time headset? And was that deal for the Ax180s only and not the other upgraded Gears 3 dolby stereo headsets too, Eggy?

    It is my first headset (gears branded stereo headset) and I really like it.

    Quite comfortable, and no fabric so it will be easy to clean. After long sessions my ears get hot and after longer sessions can get a little sore, but it all depends on your ears and head shape I guess.

    Only issue I had was you can't charge your controller with the play and charge kit when your headset mic is hooked up, as the electrical charge creates an audible interference that is quite annoying.

    I paid $99 for it a few months ago, and for $49 you can go wrong I reckon.
