While I do encourage people to try and extend their budget past this, at least it's better than Kmart's offering at this price point.

  • Cheap non-stick cookware ,
    What could go wrong ?

Yeah wondering what's wrong with $20 cookware? Ikea used to sell non stick starting at $5.

      • Used to ?

        • don't tell me they still do.. that would be a Chad move.

  • In WA $18

They can contain PFAS and other toxins. Not clear if these are PFAS free. Use at your own discretion

    Wouldn't touch non-stick. Carcinogenic.

    • Some are not. But burn your oil and that’s also carcinogenic

    • Hard to know. No more carcinogenic than the red meat people are cooking in it, but they sound cheap and nasty.

I think stainless or cast iron is the best, but don't mind anodised aluminium as it lasts a lot longer than tefal etc.

      • If you scratch the coating of anodised Al then the food reacts with the aluminium and creates toxins. You can’t win :) stainless steel is safer. Tefal coating is supposedly tested to be non toxic for the majority of their pans. But agreed they do have a period of time before they are not as good as they originally were.

        • yeah just have to chuck as soon as the coating starts to degrade. The point was the surface stays in tact much longer with anodised aluminium than teflon.
Some people just buy the cheapest and throw out regularly. Not buying those tefal jamie oliver crap (and similar) again, learnt not to over the years haha

          You can win, get Titanium!!

          • @G-rig: I just bought the Jamie Oliver grill pan from tefal. It cooks spectacularly. We shall see how long it lasts.

            • @eeeee: Yeah may be ok hopefully lasts you a while.
I remember swapping their pans a few times under warranty at Myer a few times.

  • not easy to find stock.
