  • Most of my AAA Eneloop Pro are unable to recharge even they r only less than 2 yrs and I am only using Panasonic quick charger. It just keeps flashing red when I tried to charge. Anyone face similar issue?

    • same, so i just went back to disposable. its so cheap now a days, and i can't be bothered charging anymore.

      Use the paperclip trick

      • Can you explain please? Thks

Try this (skip to 1:40): https://youtu.be/jeag_zPZDNw?si=MJ96mTq_elKExGtg&t=100

In layman's terms, your battery is likely completely flat and the charger does not "see" the battery. Doing this will give it some charge and the charger will be able to charge it further.

@ho-ly phuc: I do something similar using a dumb battery charger.

Put in your very flat batteries in a dumb charger that just charges without checking voltages etc, leave it for 5min to charge the dead battery then take battery out and put in the smarter charger and boom the charger now detects the battery and it starts working to charge it.

    • Happens with my night light, runs the battery down flat.
My XTAR Dragon VP4 charger has a 0V activation function, beeps for a minute then resumes charging normally.

    • that happens with my dead eneloops on a liitokala charger, the charger blinks and gives some error message.

I just leave them on there overnight or whatever and they are fully charged.

      Not sure why it happens.

I’ve had a couple of dozen eneloops in rotation since Dick Smith closed down 8 years ago , you just have to get yourself a decent charger and use them , left in a draw for years they will die eventually .
I have lost one AA so far that stopped charging , probably because didn’t run them through the discharge charge cycle on the charger enough .

    • get a slower charger either the eneloop one or one from Ikea.

I get errors on my faster chargers, but the slow ones, manages to charge them.
If just needs about 30mins of charge, then the fast chargers can detect them again.

    • My AAA Eneloop Pros do the same thing absolute garbage waste of money. I have tried all sorts of stuff. Charge them using a slow charger, Discharging them fully, Nothing repairs them.

  • Pretty poor price OP.

    Historically a 4-pack of AA / AAA Pros has been around $18-20 / $16-19.

Not really a deal, considering also that Ikea LADDAs are much cheaper ($8 / $12)

    • ikea marsden park was 100% ladda-less when I went there a couple of weeks back. Ladda shelves were barren.

is there some shortage right now or did I just go there just before restock?

      Staff didn't know.

      • Might be a Marsden Park thing.

The stock checker shows in-stock @ Rhodes for AAA-750mAh and AA-1900mAh

The LADDA 2450mAh AA seem to be the more popular so out of stock at most Ikea stores. Yet at half the price it might be worth a trip if your local has stock. Otherwise + shipping cost if available.

          • @g12345567: they refused to ship the batteries to me, despite including in a ~$1k order

      • I think the Russians are making electric Lada cars.
Hence, these OEM batteries are being bought by the Russki-Daigou.
        (Putin wants power) Lol

    • Greedflation sucks. $20+ is the new bargain price for Eneloop Pros.

LADDA are not even close: 1900 vs 2450mAh means they have almost 25% less capacity.

      • +1

There are 2450mAh LADDAs for $12 a pack

        • In stock?

          • @Nukkels: In some stores, otherwise you’ll have to try delivery.

      • 25% less capacity at less than 50% of the price 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • Does anyone know if these would work in a rechargable torch (Black Diamond) or do the batteries need to be charged in their own dedicated charger?

    • check with black diamond for your specific model.

Does the torch accept AA or AAA batteries?

  • Why would anyone buy these when Rechargeable 1.5v AA/AAA are available and cause less headaches for devices that are designed to run with 1.5v batteries?
