  • Thx OP. Just tested and also works with Laithwaites offer (already used the Virgin one!)

    • Where so you enter the coupon code or unlimited? Mine goes straight to CC details?

      • You have to add a standard dozen to be able to apply the coupon, i.e. if you add one of the offers like the 15 case or the wine membership it doesn't work. Tbh it's similar value to just sign up for two wine memberships.

My Australian Wine AMEX offer has different T&C’s:

Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $150 or more, in one or more transactions, online only at http://www.theaustralianwine.com.au/

    No reference to https://www.virginwines.com.au/

Same company. Same promo code. Obviously you need to use the other website… and the other offer.

The Virgin Wines offer doesn’t appear in my list of Amex offers. Maybe 40,000 already took the deal. I know there are similar offers for The Australian & Laithwaites but their wines are more expensive

    • Still showed for me

    • Check for similar wine offers from Laithwaites or The Australian

These wine brands seem to be exclusive to Laithwaites (and online stores like Virgin Wines). That exclusivity means they can set whatever price they like since no one else can stock it. Long story short, the $20 or so regular price that they claim is rubbish. Without even having tried any of these wines, I can assure they’re all worth we’ll under $10 a bottle.

But if you don’t mind taking a risk on an over hyper and overpriced marketing, then the OP’s deal seems like a bargain.

Was wondering about the quality…even the reviews on the website are lukewarm.

      • +1

Check the reviews on Vivino. They're fairly well rated there

Even if they are average, less than $5 a bottle to bring to the in-laws and friends without them knowing you are a cheap bastard is priceless.

  • +1

The wines I’ve had from them are great for under $10/bottle

  • No Amex offer, still bargain for 12 bottles of wines for $82?

  • +2

    Average wines in these packs.
Usually made especially for these companies so you are getting the off cuts.
If you don't mind a $10 bottle, good deal.
I used my amex on 6 Jim Barry and 6 Taylors reds. I know they'll be half decent.

Unlimited was very easy to cancel, just replied to the welcome email and the renewal was stopped for next month.

  • I only have the Amex $50 offer on theaustralianwine and laithwaites.com.au

Will the get GET50 work on the above sites ?

Did not find a place to enter the coupon for theaustralian wine

    • +1

It's in the checkout page under voucher.

It will only work on the wines you add directly to your cart - not the "specials".

  • Thanks OP, your instructions were well written and easy to follow. I definitely classify myself as someone who can happily drink $10-15 bottles of red wine, so I'm glad to get 'em for $5 a go.
