  • Normally $5k ?

    • Nope $4500

      • its part of the Longi 'free panel' promotion, ending soon.

        • Shut up and take my money

        • Not associated with anyone in the Coffs Harbour region who has access to the promotion?

10.56w? What is this a solar system for ants?

    Also 23x440=10.12 not 10.56.

    • sorry, 24 panels

    • 😂

  • Terracotta tiles: We no longer do

Finding anyone that will go near them is near impossible now.

    • +3

I have a weekend team, one of the roofers said it didn't bother him. I can take your details, and see what happens.

  • Any decramastic roof covered

    • we can certainly talk about it.

Is this actually a good price? Can anyone vouch?

    • Solar is now very cheap, as cheap as it's ever been in SEQLD.

      • Ive seen a number of other businesses offering these type of systems under $4k, this seems more like advertising than a deal or promotion

We are a local solar business who take pride on only having good reviews from all installed customers. The same cannot be said for those ones unfortunately.

We will never be the 'cheapest' but best value, we aim for.

  • Can you oversize systems now?
Bigger than 6.6kw on a 5kw inverter or larger than 13.3kw on a 10kw inverter?

    • +1

can go up to 13kw system on single phase, so you can add another 6.6kw system next to an existing one.

    • I've been wondering when this is going to be allowed, too. Oversizing the size of total panels above the 133% stc guide on a single smaller inverter makes sense when/if the inverter is capable of it, especially if the panels are east/west or south facing, and to maximise generation through a single inverter from all panels in lower-light conditions.

    • Oversizing limits that you mentioned are more for rebate from clean energy for the panels

    • Yes, but STC guide has been updated right?
You can now put as much as you want on as long as your inverter can take it.

  • Do you also have battery?

    • What battery are you after? a Tesla Powerwall?

      • I'd also be interested in a Tesla pw quote champ. I have 3 phase power

        • Me too!

  • Is this an enphase system or a string system?

    • String, Solax 8kw inverter.

      • How much for equivalent enphase?

        • We don't do them, but I guess around $3000+ more

          • @Coffee-King: I'd go so far to say it would be more than that. A good Enphase price is about $1.20/watt.

So I'd say for these solid mid-range panels, it would be around $12-$15k.

I just put a ~11kw Enphase system on my roof for $15k and very happy with it.

Free MAGA hat with every install?

    • wouldn't have to twist my arm!

      • Whooooosh!

Over my head too. What the joke ?

          • @jaygriz: The owner of the sales company is a Trump enthusiast.

Seems an interesting guy, with some fairly non standard political views.

Just for the people who are planning to take Solar atm , its just a better deal to take battery + solar rather than just solar because of the exceptionally low export cost.
Also there is a interest free battery loan Victoria atm similar to Battery Booster Rebate Scheme in Queensland

    • Batteries are not a very good deal I think, in the best case the savings barely cover the cost over the warranty period.

The FIT is a joke, but with solar you can at least offset part of your own consumption, especially when WFH.

Hopefully, the price of the battery systems should drop, the price of the cells in China is so much lower compared to the installed system cost here.

      • If you are living in queensland which is mostly sunny, you can easily go offgrid if you have the dollars

What’s the bargain here ? No advertised savings ? Ozbargain not Oz marketing

    • I was thinking people would see some value in the install and company's service, which is really good, and proven for over a decade. Truth is some shoddy solar installations can wreck your home.

      • -3

That’s great, post should be in the forum in that case. Please read the community guidelines regarding ozbargain deals, needs to display actual saving to qualify as a deal. This doesn’t

    No deal!

This is far more expensive than what other businesses are offering:

yes, as stated earlier, it is only a bit dearer, we have stated we are using reputable Longi panels, these adds DO NOT mention the brand, and going off reviews we appear to do a lot better job. We only operate locally, in Brisbane too.

  • Anything like this in Vic? QLD get the best deals for solar :(

    • Keen to know as well

I have quotes from Solar Emporium, Solar Masters and Sunsolar

10.5kw with 8.5kw inverter (Trina/jinko panels and goodwe inverter)
      $9100
      - STC’s
      - $1400 vic rebate

= $3900-$4000 total cost (no loan)

I am about to pull the trigger on a system but looking for a more reliable company/installer if anyone has any recommendations. They basically seem to be call centres with sub contractors, would prefer to use a legit company

  • Hello Coffee-king can you install in cairns? I am looking for a battery.

    • no, sorry

  • Queensland Solar and Lighting is one of the most trusted names in Australia:
