    Movie any good?

    • +1

Very very good. Watched it last night. Absolute treat if you've watched all previous Marvel shows and movies. Even if you haven't, it's still a great movie!

      • +1

Cool I was going to go see it last night but I couldn't, and then I saw the reviews were not very good but I will be going on Sunday thanks.

        • Yeah there's always mixed reviews with stuff like this. All crazy fan boys will always find something microscopic to complain about and leave bad reviews.

        • Bad reviews are from morons who are looking for an engaging interwoven narrative and being able to connect with characters on more intimate levels. This ain't Pride & Prejudice & Zombies.

      • all previous Marvel shows and movies? No thanks…

What if I like the old X-Men movies, Jackman's Wolverine, and checked out on the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Guardians of the Galaxy?

YES - Laughed till we cried

Solid 7-8/10. If you live, laugh and love Deadpool, this is a solid movie to see, although it has slightly fewer sex jokes and more meta humor than the last two films.
If you’re not a Marvel Cinematic Universe buff or Marvel Studios fan (or you fell off the bandwagon after Endgame), then you’re probably not going to enjoy this as much.
The only real criticism I have is that the CGI is given a very thin coat of the same overworked digital VFX studio paint you know and love (or hate) from other Marvel Studios movies, and I maybe saw 3 different shots that could’ve been done better had the digital VFX studios been better treated (although there was nothing I could see as notably bad unlike the past few films).
But to summarise, this really was the claw up the nuts Marvel Studios needed to scale back quantity of production and start producing better content, while Disney needs to take notice and not try and force Marvel into a content milling machine like Bob Chapek did in 2020-2022.

      • Cool, I haven't kept up with the shows, but I will be watching Loki before I go see it and I try to watch almost every marvel movie, (Even went to see the marvels day one)

  • Can I use this for vPremium Village sessions? Only seating at my local cinema

    • Not valid for use at Moonlight Cinemas or Skyline Drive In. Not valid for use in ACT. This eVoucher cannot be redeemed for Gold Class, Premium Seating concepts, 4DX, Boutique, Event Junior, Movie Marathons, Chicks At The Flicks, or group bookings. Surcharges apply to upgrade to V-Max or 3D screenings and must be paid at the time of redeeming the eVoucher. 3D glasses sold separately. Seating is subject to availability.

      • For anyone else with my question, I contacted GoodFilm and go their assurances it'd work, tried it myself and went fine, $2 surcharge for the premium seats. Gl all!

Thanks for sharing this Justwon! Glad it worked great for you : )

  • 8.3/10 on IMDb, that’s quite rare tbh.

    • +1

      Worth a watch mate :)

    • +1

You think IMDB give proper ratings? Its a bit like Amazon reviews, Gravity is a classic example of IMDB wrongness, even throw in there Fury Road

      • +1

No website’s perfect but atleast IMDB ain’t corrupt like Rotten Tomatoes..
And so far IMDB’s been accurate enough for me. I love their app too.

      • +2

IMDB is also likely to change over the next few weeks as its barely released. If you need a laugh in your life, this movie will 100% achieve that - many times!

        • +1

Ikr, it’ll probably come dow to around 7.6 and just settle there kinda.

And yeah, I’ll definitely be watching it within the next couple of days.
Deadpool is the only super hero sequel that I can tolerate watching at this point. I have completely given up on the rest.

      • I agree fury road should have at least an 8.5/10.

  • Finally a hope for MCU

  • +1

    Well that just happened

  • Price has gone up rep?
Used to be $30 which isn't a great deal.

Cheaper via RACV, Telstra or others.

    • Hi Jessie, yes EVT (Event Cinemas Head Office) raised their wholesale pricing. Something to keep in mind: our Double Pass deal is still $2 cheaper than buying 2 x individual Good Tix, and far cheaper than regular ticket prices at the box office - with the bonus of donating to charity, too : )

    • -1

None of those go to charity though….

  • +1

Omg another superhero movie?? Ffs… when will they stop.

    • -1

Just milking that cashcow dry at this point.

    • +1

David Stratton quit the movie show cos he couldn't stomach the prospect of watching so many superhero movies the rest of his career

    • This one’s actually kinda good though, if you prefer self-deprecating comedy at the expense of studios.

  • -3

    $16 per ticket. That's expensive

    • -1

Hi runamuck, depending on location regular tickets can be up to $27 at the box office. This Double Pass deal gets you up to $22 off the regular price - with the bonus of donating to a great cause too ; )

  • @goodfilm are these tickets unrestricted? I.e can they be used Friday and Saturday nights

    • I just bought them for tonights viewing, can definitely use them for Friday nights, im currently booked in to watch it at 9:30pm at Village (VIC) 26th Sat.

Side note; Im also happy that some of the money is going to disaster relief too, great cause

Same here @ULT, that's awesome to hear, cheers!
Hi @SnowDragon, yes, Good Tix can be used any day at any time.
