ATL for this variant, cheaper than Carbon Gray ($946) which I price matched the ATL of $929 with JB (Mineral Blue not sold there) and paid with discounted GCs. Nice battery, topo maps, tracking and variety of activities. Flashlight (has red/night mode) is useful too.

And going to cost $2k on release.
There is no pricing yet
And not even an official announcement. Just a leak. Take it with a grain of salt
@Lucille Bluth: typically when garmins go on special they're funded or initiated by garmin. if you look at past trends you'll find that the specials start 3-4 months out from new product announcement to blow away stock
when the local shops start doing it, you'll know that the next watch is not far off release locally
garmin have an apple-esque pricing style where the specials are rarely ever genuinely due to retailers discounting the products, there's not that much margin in them
Any idea of additional features compared to 6xpro?
Thinking of updating for improved battery life of solar version
Battery life will probably be worse because OLED is more the standard instead of the transflective.
But solar can give it a bump.
Not that much space or improvements in solar tech to get much more out of it since the 7 series.
@Telios: Im only getting like 5 days for my 6xpro. It gets annoying charging every 5 days.
Thanks i saw this, is it true the solar version lasts 37 days?
Power Sapphire™ solar charging lens extends battery life by up to 37 days

@ATTS: with that battery life, you'd be running the pulseox sensor
the garmin tech specs state around 21 days of use on the 6x with full smart watch functions and HRM monitoring, but it won't include pulseox
given that the extra time you gain from solar in the same conditions is 3 days (21 => 24 days), that's around 15% improvement.
for your use case, maybe expect almost 6 days from the watch?
@peter05: Thanks for explanation!
You reckon next year the fenix 8 will be about $1k?
I guess at this price for a tracker watch you must be an athlete of some sort .. 😐
Got the 7x Pro and my greatest athletic achievement was scoring 88 on the sleep tracker. Still training for that elusive 100 badge.
That's an amazing score though not gonna lie
Sad that I'm jealous of a sleep score
Modern life lol
Is garmin versions from 7x onwards touch screen aswell now?
Practice makes perfect!
Awesome price. Personally though this colour seems less popular (as it's usually on sale more), it's actually my favourite colour too.
been eyeing this colour for a long time.
high on my want list.
low on my need list. ~sigh~Rebel is also on special for 7X Sapphire Solar series,

I went pro for the flash light - so damn useful
This one has the flashlight too - all 7X's do.
I know it's a game changer, it's one of those things you wonder how you got by without it.
Cool feature. Just curious what u use flash light for thats useful?
Anything as dumb as, oh craps its dark here and there are stairs - might as well turn it on.
When I run at night I might put it on as well so cars / pedestrians can see me
Cools thanks for sharing
Is your profile pic the ROC flag?
Fun fact, the owner of the ozbargain website is Taiwanese
Why the 7X is the cheapest? What about some love for 7S or even just the 7? :(
