$2 out of pocket is also available for the 80GB plan (upsized to 100GB for 3 renewals) - pay $15 (usually $40) and get $13 cashback.

  • I'd much rather buy this from TCB.

  • Why does these providers and cashback apps need to track the purchase in order to credit the source to provide cashback ?
There is always a chance that some cookie or intentionally rejecting Cashbacks

Instead of this , cashback apps can generate a unique code for the users which they can use to purchase which gives upfront discount to the customer and also credit the sales to the cashback app

So life is easier and stress less for everyone

Why this so much complicated tracking mechanism ?

What should they do instead? Take anyone's word for it and credit them with cashback?

No can do. This is like giving out unique promo codes. Cashback is a form of price discrimination without being obvious as giving straight off discounts. Also, I imagine there's a lot of development for some retailers to incorporate codes into their system (e.g. David Jones) and also the admin of matching up codes.

Most importantly, what happens with returns and the admin involved?

Finally, if this is was possible, then it's easy for anyone to be an affiliate and they will all offer close to the max discounts and then the brand will just be competing on price.

Money-back-claims are always @ risk until returned to your-bank. Even their use of word 'cashback' is MIS-leading.
      Their-design is to LURE-buyers.
Failed money-back-claims help to keep these system-alive…staffing & resource to run these system are funded out-of-thin-air ?

Tracking-issues: the onus of proof is on buyers.
Buyers have to to chase-up approval, payment of withdrawal-request, keep-record, follow EACH offer's criteria: caution with Amaysim's 'New Service (SIM) & New Sign Ups (New Customers)'.
The whole-process is administrative, detailed, time-consuming, fluid, with up-to 90 days turn-around for your money-back-claims.
      NON-transparent process allowing BOTH,
      1.partner-stores to reject legit-claims: watch-out for larger-claims &
      2.money-back Coy to selective-scamming…read their T&Cs ?

Only KEEN & experienced OzBargainers survive & endure.
Novice likely to make mistakes-initially, but the reward is-there if you're willing to risk-it to learn the-process….how many willing read last 30 days comments @ these posts & understand what they mean unless they try-it-out themself ?

  • Does it work for eSIM?

    • Yeah eSIM is eligible for Cashback @B612

  • Is this one only $0.98 after $9.02 cashback?

    https://www.amaysim.com.au/sim-plans/28-day-sim-plans/unlimiā€¦

    • I would go with TopCashback for this. $9.50 cashback.

      • Thanks, saw your other comment.

  • Does anyone know if the payment is auto deducted when the plan renews or expires ?

    • +1

Yes, but since it is prepaid, you can turn auto renewal off straight away.

  • Remember that you can always chat Amaysim customer service to change the starting date of your new sim card after you have received it. Sim card with new number gets activated after purchase, even before you have received it from delivery.

    • Hey mate, so to clarify we contact customer support after physically receiving the SIM card, but before activating it?

      • If you choose new number, the sim card has been activated by Amaysim before delivery… That's why when you received it, you can login Amaysim website/app to see that the expiry date is less than 28 days …

    • +1

The expiry date always automatically reset after using the the Sim for the first time. So you don't have to chat with customer service. You can if you need the extra peace of mind.

      • No, I waited more than 1 day but the expiry date was still the same … That's why I have to chat customer service.

  • Lately my cashback is getting stuck in Calculating phase and there is no way to report it as well. Customer service is not that helpful lately for me at least. I have risked it again anyways.

    • Computer, android phone or iphone? In app or browser? Which browser?

      • I think iphone, last time I bought something from amazon and ebay, it stucks at calculating and still havn't changed from it. At one moment, uniqlo cashback was pending for a long time and then changed to zero right before confirmed. Have raised it multiple times, but no response from them.

        • I guess maybe problems with certain iphone tracking blocked? Usually no problem with payment tracking for me with Chrome mobile in my android phone. But last night Shopback app shows no purchase found from my PureVPN 130% upsized cashback from my transaction on 23 July. It's almost USD 129.95 for 5 year plan. This is the first time Shopback failed or maybe deliberately didn't say tracked for my purchase of PureVPN. Previously I never fail with any cashback companies even Shopback. I guess not good for bigger transaction with Shopback. So, I have to cancel and get refund from PureVPN.

          • @neoleo: Yes it could be just my device, but thankfully my last transaction tracked without any issue, this sim card purchase from amysim. :-)

  • Shopback rejected the last Amaysim cashback I did in March. Avoid.

    • What was the status of the transaction? Tracked?

      • The cashback didn't track in the first place, so I had to report it.

        Then finally "Rejected: Unsuccessful Cashback/Bonus"

        • Update: Now confirmed and paid, following submitting a ticket complaint with video/screenshots.

          • @Increase1: I'm kinda surprised they honoured it? Don't they have a 30 day or 60 day time limit or something?

            • @illumination: EDIT: The purchase was from April actually. So exactly 4 months later.

Honestly, not sure if there is a time limit. Can't say it's very clear…

  • This is now $20 cashback so I wouldn't consider it "expired", but it's not $2 after cashback anymore. It's now $4

    Same on CR and TCB

  • Has anyone's cashbavk for recent purchase of Amaysim starter pack turned confirmed? Thanks.
