  • Beat me to it,

  • Very nice price if you have the membership already (I don't sadly).

  • It’s around 9 years old since it first released, however it’s been upgraded from USB Micro to USB C. Not sure if sound quality has any improvement.

    • It would be interesting to see a current review of it up against the likes of newer portable speakers.

    • next door has original, was given a more recent one and ended up returning because sound didnt compare. So yea no direct experience but I cant see a reason for him to lie

My micro usb version from yeaaarrrsss ago is still going strong… It has never skipped a beat!

    • +1

Yes agree with that, I have one and its been great. USB C charging is a great addition.

      • Hmmm you're buying another? It's quite tempting but can't just throw out the perfectly good old one lmao.

        • +1

Can we do stereo mode on it (1 for left, the other for right audio stream)?

        • lol its quite tempting but already have a couple of bluetooth speakers, will save my 95 bucks.

    • Can't agree more. I also have the Gen1 and overall like it better than my Marshall Emberton II.

  • What happens if the battery doesn’t hold charge? How much does Bose charge to replace the battery?

    • The warranty is valid from the date of retail
purchase for a period of 1 year and a period of 5 years for passive, non-powered loudspeakers. In the
case of a covered warranty defect, Bose will at its option: (A) repair the product using new or refurbished
parts; (B) replace the product with an equivalent new or refurbished product; or (C) provide a partial or
full refund of the original purchase price to you in exchange for return of the product. Repair of the
goods may result in loss of data contained in the goods and Bose takes no responsibility for the loss of
      such data.

      • Thanks for the info. I am interested in finding out the out of warranty charge from Bose for battery replacement as it is too difficult to DIY.

        • see cloudie9's response below

Still love mine from when the $100 deal was on. Tempted to buy another as a backup

    • Think of this as a battery replacement option for the price. I think battery replacement cost almost half of this but you get brand new unit instead.

      • Yeah, thinking might keep the old one in the guest powder room playing some luxe piano music for that fancy feeling.

With a candle or Diffuser going as well.

        • Not the 1812th

Oooh this even beats the price screw up of $101.97 that Bose had on their website back in Dec 2019. I picked up two at that time and sold one, so my total outlay was $45. Superb little USB-C powered speaker and still going strong!

    • bought four at that deal and sold three

      • It was a ripper deal. Unfortunately, Bose cancelled a lot of the orders once they realised they screwed up and a lot of buyers here on OZB just accepted the refund. They tried to cancel my order also, but they'd taken the money from my account and sent me an order acceptance. I emailed them and told them it was a breach of contract if they tried to cancel the order, so they had to honor it.

        Good going grabbing four though!

      • The OzBargain community spirit is strong.

  • I have about 6 portable Bluetooth speakers, do I need another?

    • +3

yes need to make it lucky 7

  • 140 units left. was around 320 when deal posted.

    • It's bound to get OzBargained at this price

    • How do you check it out?

      • By adding a randomly high number in your cart and it will reduce to what’s left.

Can they be paired for TWS?

  • Does anyone know if Bose will price match?

Edit: Nevermind, Costco is apparently not listed as an authorised reseller.

  • +2

Bought one, great bargain for camping

  • +1

I think it is out of stock now. Cannot add to cart

    • Yep, out of stock :(

  • +1

Price match with Bose Australia and pay using Amex for an extra 15% off.

selected authorised Bose resellers—JB Hi-Fi, Myer or Harvey Norman
      Not costco..

  • How does this compare to Bose SoundLink Flex?

    • +1

Unsure, but as an FYI, if you have access to Stedent Beans and an Amex card you can get a flex for about $100. See the link below.

      • This looks good, the flex for outdoors. Soundlink mini II mounted inside a camper and I can connect both for TWS.

  • Anyone seen this in store?

  • Just bought Bose SoundLink Max for $470, man this thing is built different.

I still have this thing at my toilet for watching at Ipad lol so I don't here my wife yelling. Plus the best soundtouch 30. Bose is boss!

  • +1

No highs, no lows, must be Bose.

  • Is this online only?

edit: NVM it says online only

  • Managed to get one, thanks OP

  • how does this compare to the anker soundcore X600?

    • X600 is on a different level, like bigger than this…

      • portability doesn't matter so much for me as keeping it in the garage for home gym so just wondering which one to get for $15 difference

  • Sony speaker is coming in costco day 11 deal https://www.costco.com.au/c/fy24-p12-EC0660-12-days-winter-d…

but not sure the discount price yet.

  • for anyone looking for similar price speaker I think this is still going. stack eofy code and new user newsletter code for more discount.

Got the black special ed long ago from costco around $150 (about 5 years ago), and is still going strong without any dramas. Good sound quality.

This one however does not look like it has the charging cradle? (The one I got did come up with cradle and cable)

  • +1

    Back in stock.

    • Thanks, updated post

  • does this come with the cradle?

    • I don't think so

      • thanks, can you buy these seperately anymore? I went to the bose website and its not listed as an accessory.

        • Looks like there's some third party options and 3D print designs, I'm looking for a wall mounted cradle for mine.

  • Anyone know how long this took to be shipped/received?

    • Mine just arrived

      • When did you order it and how long till it shipped and was received? Ordered one and going overseas next week hoping it'll come before then.

        • Think they sold out within half an hour of the OP, I ordered when OP posted the deal.

    • Ordered July 24, shipped today (July 25), ETA July 30, metro VIC.

  • OOS

  • Has anyone got this and can compare it to other BT speakers, eg the popular soundcore motion+ or boom 3 or other ones around this price range?

    Thanks
