Good price on a Flashforge Adventurer 5M 3D printer. I got one previously at $430 and have been extremely happy with it - no tinkering required and worked straight out of the box.

Moe: This thing can heat up the nozzle in 35 seconds!

Homer: 35 seconds? But I want it now.

Coming from an Ender 3 max to this has been a game changer tbh. Been super reliable and just works without any tinkering. Would recommend.

    • Can confirm if you're not enthusiastically into the tinkering, the ender 3 becomes annoying.

      • happy to tinker around but 99% of the time, couldn't get it to print reliably. It would do 1 good print and 9 would fail for some reason and would have to constantly check on it

        • Similar to my experience. I fixed it the first 3-4 times it messed up. Final time nothing I did worked and has collected dust since.

    • Current Ender 3 printere are also tinker free nowadays.

      Auto level & z-offset
      Assembled in 15-20 minutes
      Fast speeds

You can of course upgrade them easily which for some is part of the hobby

      • Yeah I considered the Ender 3 Max Neo with all those upgrades but seeing this semi-enclosed (fully enclosed with printed enclosure) looked so much more robust and after the 2 years of tinkering around with the Ender 3 Max, I just wanted something to just work.

        • Once you're spending over $200 for an Ender 3, go straight to A1 mini or A1

Great to see these tinker-free printers becoming more affordable.

Did they unlock root for full Klipper access?

    • Yep, there is a klipper firmware available now, with klipper screen support. Tried it for a time and it worked as expected.

      • Nice, can setup KAMP and other plugins then

  • Have had an anet a8 which I upgraded up an am8.. Then got an anycubic mega s which I updated up klipper etc. - so I do consider myself pretty proficient with 3d printers and tinkering.

This thing is a game changer. Get it

    • Recently set my Mega S up with Klipper too, new lease of life with all of the tuning & plugins!

      • Yup is great! Until I got the Flashforge.

It just works so well out of the box!
