Great price. Love mine. Apparently these newer versions take care of the slight bump in the top end. https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements… I use the passive filter on mine.

  • Fantastic price on these. Sound quality wise they are one of my favourite, but unfortunately they are not the comfiest fit on my particular head. I have a fairly small head and they don't feel like a good fit.

  • Excellent price.

  • Thanks, nice find - think I prefer the unilateral cord when compared with the 600 series.

  • Absolutely love mine! Pair these with a fiio btr15 for portable use and a a fiio k11 for desktop use and never look back!

    • Sorry are these not regular headphones? Why do you need the doohickey?

      • You can plug them in to your phone if it has a 3.5mm jack. It'll still sound great. If not the btr15 can connect wirelessly to your phone. Or wired if you want to do it that one. Most phones these days don't have a headphone jack though.

        • Thanks. So is the btr15 just for making it wireless? Or does it change the quality? Because I can just buy an AUX dongle

          • @DontNeedThis: I guess it depends on what dongle you get. I'm pretty certain you'll get better quality with the fiio dongle though. And way more volume too. I love my btr15. works wired with my pc, ipad and pixel phone. But also works wireless too. And i also use it with my apple tv wirelessly too.

            • @krammis76: Is there sound lag when watching a movie wireless?

              • @thepete: Honestly i don't notice any lag. The fiio had AAC and i've never had any issue. I'm not overly sensitive to it though i suppose. Works great to me.

      • Your phone has circuitry that turns digital data into audio, via a 3.5mm jack.

If the circuitry to do that is great, these headphones will sound great.

If it's not great, then the headphones will sound… well, you know the saying - "Garbage in, garbage out".

In that case, you buy the doohickey (or a similar one - Apple make them too), and it'll make your headphones sound great.

    • Unless you need or want wireless, you're better off getting the apple type C to 3.5 adapter

  • This need an amp?

    • No, they are relatively easy to drive. That said, you don't want to connect them to something with a high output impedance (the link I posted will explain why)

  • Great price for awesome set of headphones

  • Are you serious? I literally bought these Wednesday night direct from Sennheiser for $198. I already received them 😭

    • Could refund and buy again if they're unopened

      • nah opened them straight away. Was too excited haha oh well. Still good price for me

  • That's an insane price

  • No brainer at this price IMO - fantastic headphones.

  • Off topic but does anyone know where I can purchase replacement pads for the HD58X?

I hear they degrade fast and genuine is the best not aftermarket for replacement. Mine are due.

  • How is this compared to 599?

    • I havent used the 599, but I think the consensus is that the 560S is a better headphone.

  • It’s worth noting that these were revised in 2022, so something to keep in mind if you’re going off of reviews from pre-2022.

    It’s back in stock

  • Back in stock only 2 available now

Irregularly back in stock sometimes from last night. At least 7 items more were sold (from 57 to 64).
Right now the website shows 1 last one available.

  • Listing is back up to $269, and the coupon has expired, so the party is sadly now defninitively over.
