Fantastic price on these. Sound quality wise they are one of my favourite, but unfortunately they are not the comfiest fit on my particular head. I have a fairly small head and they don't feel like a good fit.

Sorry are these not regular headphones? Why do you need the doohickey?
You can plug them in to your phone if it has a 3.5mm jack. It'll still sound great. If not the btr15 can connect wirelessly to your phone. Or wired if you want to do it that one. Most phones these days don't have a headphone jack though.

@DontNeedThis: I guess it depends on what dongle you get. I'm pretty certain you'll get better quality with the fiio dongle though. And way more volume too. I love my btr15. works wired with my pc, ipad and pixel phone. But also works wireless too. And i also use it with my apple tv wirelessly too.
@thepete: Honestly i don't notice any lag. The fiio had AAC and i've never had any issue. I'm not overly sensitive to it though i suppose. Works great to me.

No, they are relatively easy to drive. That said, you don't want to connect them to something with a high output impedance (the link I posted will explain why)
