Power Bank for Laptop? Recommendations

Hi all,

I've got a Lenovo 9i gen 8 14".. Not sure if it matters, but 1360p, 16gb ram, 2.8k oled screen.

Looking for a portable power bank to charge it just in case I forget to charge it overnight before uni, or I take it camping, or something.

Not sure what I need in terms of wattage, capacity etc, so if anyone can please shed some light on this for me I'd appreciate it.

Thank you :)

    Does it USB-C?
if so, then an Inui powerbank with 60w or 100w output will be nice.

otherwise, an ecoflow river2 will give you an AC socket to plug into

    • yep, it charges off the usb-c port… apparently you can charge off the thunderbolt 4 ports too, but it's slower. don't quote me though.

  • I googled your laptop model, which took me to here and recommended this for $149

    ZMI 20 or 737.

  • It uses a 65w AC adapter.

Buy zmi-qb826 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/xiaomi-zmi-qb826 which is the best

    OR

    Anker 737 Power Bank https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/anker-a1289

  • Bargain at ALDI today $50: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/856826 Get in fast!!

A nice thing about USB-PD is that it negotiates power draw. So you don't need a 65W supply.
You just need to know what voltage is needed, but sadly manufacturers rarely specify this. You only know what they sell.
e.g. Surface Pro will work from 12V or 15V PD.

But to be safe with the lenovo, get a power bank that can do 20V @ 1.5A minimum.

  • I have a lenovo legion slim 5 … is there any powerbank for this?
