If you’re buying it for surge protection I’d go Belkin. Afaik the largest Belkin usually seen is the 8 porter. Can be had for about $40 if you have tggc membership. It is unfortunately the size of a surfboard though, and doesn’t support bulky plugs stacked close to each other..
whoa that's a lot of outlets!
Pity there are no switches at all
HPM have been around for ages, made lots of mains power-related items. Probably as famous as Clipsal. This is a good board, plenty of outlets, even accommodates the extra-wide power packs that normally obscure the neighboring port. Great for tucking away behind the AV cabinet/computer/network rack. I got a couple of these last year when they worked out to be ~$25 each. Still not a bad price.
175 joules rating, too low.
Unfortunately not enough 12 slots let alone 8 slots that have high joule rating. I would love to get a 12 slot one without spending hundreds of dollars
any recommendations on good ones with fewer slots?
The belkin 8 slot one is the best bang for buck, has 900 joule protection.
The cyberpower 8 slot has 2750 joule protection but I find things dont plugin that tight and they can wobble easy. Might be an issue with the one I have but I had to swap it out and put it in a location it will ever come in contact with people or animals.
same price, but special order with long lead time

Purchased one about 18 years ago at Dick Smith for ~ $25. Still use it in my home office from day one.
How is this brand compared to Jackson and Belkin?
Not very familiar with HPM but Interesting enough for me to consider taking a look.
