    Confirmed just received the code.

  • Waiting for SMS, I actually have something I want to buy this time round

    • what ya buying mate?

      • Wet vacuum spot cleaner… Lousy puppy

  • Does anyone know if these stack with store cash?

    • +2

      store cash stacks with everything

only annoying thing is they don't seem to disappear after I you use the StoreCash on the wallet so can get confusing if you used them up already or not

  • what's everyone buying for >$100

    • Google Nest Cam Indoor - Wired
$109 on TGG website, if you click the price match button it shows $95
I went instore and they were able to drop it to $101 so I could use the $30 code
      Got the camera for $71

      • what are you monitoring indoors?

        • +1

I have 3 of these indoor cams installed outside. One installed in the frame of a doorway that is exposed to min/med weather but because it's up high in the corner it's been fine. Another under a patio outside with no direct weather exposure. Another under the exterior eave along the front of the house with med/heavy weather exposure.

This one I am going to install at the other end of the patio with more weather exposure but 'should' be fine. The other 3 have been installed over a year with no problems with rain or 0 degree Melb winters. Unless you are wanting to install these in a location with full weather exposure these seem to work just fine under the eaves of the house. I also have an outdoor cam where there is no protection so it gets hit by heavy rain, never had an issue.

          • @closed: wires not too short can make it to your power points?

            • @Poor Ass: I have a mix of running them through windows, a dog door and outdoor power points.

The ones running through windows are installed under the eave close to the window. As the power cable is thin I protect it with insulation tape and run it through the opening and under flywire screen, then close the window as much as I can without doing damage to the cable. I have awning windows so it works without letting in a draft. Cable is long enough to have it running neatly along the corners and you can always use an extension lead from that point. Also these windows are never opened to stop the wear on the cable.

              • @closed: send me some photos of these masterpieces

          • @closed: Thanks for this post. Sounds like they will be good for use internally inside a shed - fair bit cheaper than the standard outdoor ones!

Any microwave and kettle recommended in this deal?

  • Any recommendation on Nutribullet

Thinking of doing the following (correct me if I'm wrong):
    - Find items I want
    - Get a person instore to price beat a competitor
    - Make sure total is over $100
    - Pull out this SMS at the register when paying

    • what items do you want?

    • Did this last time. Worked nil dramas.

    • just got back from TGG after doing exactly this, was a problem that required the minds of 2 staff members and a manager but I got it in the end

    • I have done this several times before getting at least 10% off price before $30 discount. The last time the guy specifically asked me if I was using a $30 discount code when I confirmed I was , he only gave $5 off the $129 price but I still came out way ahead in the end.

Gather around boys for the story of how I used this to totally extract every last $.

I've been a concierge member for ages and very recently, they started emailing the $20 concierge vouchers. The good thing with the email is that those have 3 months validity, as opposed to the SMS earlier which only had 5 days.

So, now with 3 of these concierge vouchers, I had $60 saved up and then comes this message of $30 off $100. Great, I'm sure they can stack, but what to buy?

OzBargain comes to the rescue and sure enough, there was a deal on HN for JBL Tune 760 NC for $98. Good guys was selling them for $120 odd.

So I went in store, asked the guy for a price beat with the HN deal, but I asked him to actually not beat the $98 and make it for $100 in order to maximise the coupons. I'm guessing he was a typical retail worker, not paid enough to care and it was a weekend too. I did make it easier for him by spelling out all of the codes so that he could enter in his system, rather than him manually copying… I'm nice like that :-)

The final price I paid was $100 minus (1x$30 off 100, plus 3x$20 conceirge vouchers), so totally $10 bucks for those headphones!

Added cherry on top by not giving any money to Gerry either!

      • Hey mate,

Nice one. Can I ask how do you keep 3x $20 concierge vouchers while they valid only 3 months each and issue $20 each. Do you have like 3 gold extra service member? Cheers

        • Yea, I had taken a fridge, washer and dryer from them (which themselves were price beaten! Lol)

Had taken GSE for all 3.

  • perfect timing, I got store cash to use too !

  • So can you price match in-store and use the coupon or no price at all?

What is a good phone to buy for $100 or there abouts? Looking for a second phone to use for some apps that I dont want on my primary phone and perhpas use it for GPS too when travelling.

    • looking for the same, $100-$150

      • I got this for $215 in store and used $50 credit.. so got it for $165

The specs say 6Gb RAM, however the box says extended RAM to 12 Gb.

This essentially is the same phone as Oppo A58 in terms of hardware but has double storage, double RAM and marginally better resolution.

        https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/tcl-50-se-256gb-midnight-blue…

        • Is $215 including $30 coupon?

          • @Gtoor: Naah, $215 and then I used the $30 coupon.. and I also had a $20 store credit, so cost me $165 overall.

    • Curious to know about these apps that cannot be used on your primary phone. Are we talking in the realm of Grindr perhaps?

      • Funnily I had never heard for Grindr so had to google it.. are you finding any issues using it on your phone? I am assuming you were talking from experience?

  • What's practical that everyone will use just above $100
