  A $20 blow heater will heat a room faster if it can output 2000w. If it’s the form factor or features you like then go for it but this heaters whole room heating claims are overstated.

    Or use reverse cycle AC for heating for better economy as it only uses a tiny fraction of the power.

  Blow heaters are a financial joke.

  1500w @ 30c a kW / $169 = 563.3 hours = approx 3.3 weeks of constant use to spend the same money on electricity as it is to buy this thing. Looks like it'll easily add $50-$100/month to your power bill.

    Assuming it's going to be used as much as you're suggesting, which it probably won't for most people.

    For example, I purchased this to occasionally heat a single room this winter, and have run it for maybe 5 hours on a mix of low/high heat so far.

    I'm probably not most people though, and I use other methods of keeping warm before resorting to using this heater.
