Keep in mind these don't have any optical zoom and are 4mm fixed lens.
I was tossing up between this and the RLC 833A 8MP. Decided to go the 833A as the lens is 2.8mm - 8mm variable zoom.
Reolink website states 93 degree FOV for the 4mm fixed 12MP Cam which doesn't make sense as a 2.8mm lens is approx 94-95 degree FOV. A 4mm lens should be around 75 degrees FOV.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong as I don't know too much about camera lens etc!
Still a very cheap price for a 12MP Camera!
I notice the RLC 833A 8MP uses 10 watts of power as opposed to the RLC-1224A which uses 6 watts of power which is a big difference.
From memory, one of their cameras with 4mm focal length lens had 80 degrees FOV and 2.8mm had 110 or more.
I think not necessarily 2.8mm is better than 4mm (or vice versa). For example, if you have a narrow porch, you may go with 4 or even 6mm or otherwise you may end up having a lot of the wall in the FOV, especially at night IR light makes the walls super bright and the actual scene gets dark.
Wired system?
Cat 5/6 Lan cable.
Just wondering would the above qualify under "Home Improvement" for Cash Back with Cashrewards,ShopBack andTopCashback ?
