      IPS is generally the most desirable (excluding oled which has its whole own set of tradeoffs)
      Off the top of my head
      IPS:
      - Better viewing angles (VA typically gets washed out/colour shifts)
      - No dark smearing with fast motion

      VA:
      - Better contrast ratio
