  • Wish are all sold out. Only Woolworths $50 denomination is available

I didn’t even get my 15 bucks bonus from last time 200 bucks GC purchase. And now I can’t find any clue as an evidence of that event.

      • +1

I checked up on mine, missed out because people got to it before me. These promotions are such a waste because you never know how many people have actually bought before you, and when you buy it says there's still bonuses available

Can check if you go to earn more > history

So $5 better than the standard 5 percent off that most people have access to, not to mention you have to spend $500 to get this. Hard pass.

    • Very rarely can you get better than 5%! So why wouldn't we buy?

    • It’s $10 extra considering 1% regular cashback

      • I think your math is a bit off there, 1% is $5.

        • +2

          Nah he's right.

You get $30+$5 back for a $500 gift card.
If just 5%, you only get $25.
So you get an extra $10.

@videlity: Ah apparently I can’t math, I have failed my Asian parents

            • @JoeBogan: I dunno who negged me but I am allowed to make jokes like that

              • @JoeBogan: You replying to yourself. Just wondering why your parents didn't put you in Kumon for Maths lol
                (I didn't neg you)
                From an average Asian

5% off is not standard, usual is 4%, and several times a year Woolies have "+5% value", that is 4.76% discount.
so former is "pay $480 for $500 value", latter is "pay $500 for $525 value"
here you have "pay $465 for $500 value".

    • Forgive my ignorance but where can you get the standard 5 percent for a WW group card?

I know a deal came up previously but it didn't suit me as it didn't appear to be an entire group card. If it's just this sort of occassional thing then no worires - ust want to make sure I'm not missing something!

  • +5

getting 10 cards just isn't worth it.

    • +6

Very inconvenient since the demise of Everyday Pay.

  • They're getting consistent with running these promos without the necessary cards.

  • +1

Where do I activate? Can't find it in the app

    • Me neither. And I'm a Westpac customer and have had other Westpac cashback offers. Maybe it's targeted?

  • How can you "sell out" of a virtual gift card?

    • +1

It is probably because Woolworths Group has not provided replacement stock of gift cards to ShopBack for them to sell.

It is hardly a new concept. Coles Group used to have strict daily limits on the number of Coles digital gift cards they would provide to various gift card portals, so it was common to see gift card portals enforce sales limits. For example:

      • Reward Gateway used to restricted purchases of Coles digital gift cards to $400 per week, then it went down to $300 per week, then $100 per week before the limits were repealed a few months ago.

      • Prezzee did not enforce a sales limit during the same period, so what would happen instead is that Prezzee would routinely run out of stock (or you may only find $5 and $10 denominations in stock) and you would need to wait until the next day or the day after before stock was replenished.

Same issue in the previous Woolworths Group gift card offers. They don't restock.

Just checked T&Cs - Limited redemptions are available for the offer.

  • +1

The way rewards app seperate each individual e-gift card is retarded. They should move back to how they consolidate all the cards into just one barcode

    10x$50 would be a PITA

  • +1

EG cards work at Woolies btw.

    • Good to know. I haven't purchased EG eGift cards before.

Is this SB EG card different to the Prezzee EG card (cannot be used at Woolworths)?

EG gc cannot be used at Ampol.

Is this SB EG card different to the Prezzee EG card (cannot be used at Woolworths)?

It's different in the sense that it doesn't open in the Prezzee app but stays in the SB app. But they both work at Woolies. I have both.

        • +1

Thanks for the tip. Didn't know that.

  • +2

The $500 wish gift card is back in stock

Whereabouts is the offer listed to activate? I'm not seeing it in the Shopback app in the usual places (Challenges, or under Westpac, or similar).

    • +1

I joined and activated in the app last night under 'See More' for both St George and Westpac banks.

Both challenges were available this morning. However the St George challenge has now disappeared in my app.

The Westpac challenge is still available. I'm not sure if the bonus will be paid as the redemption limit may have been reached based on the comments.

    • Same here. Looked at 'More Challenges' and 'See More' under Westpac. May be expired now?

      • Was still available in the morning (Earn More > Westpac Lounge), with about 300-400 "openings" left at that time (out of 1100 I think).

It was gone by the next time I checked during the afternoon.
