A bargain is a bargain.. got to roll up the sleeves I guess sigh

    "You condiment me"

Never have I beheld such a sublime arrangement of words; even the Bard himself would be envious.

So Nine/Pedestrian defunded a bunch of journalism outlets, and their next move was to offer free tattoos. Nice?

They're not actually involved in the offer beyond being tipped off to promote it, surely.

more 'journalists' out of a job, the better

      • Except they were capable journalists, and the entire industry is struggling to figure out how to maintain a revenue stream without doing other content and expecting individuals to support themselves via content creation outside the outlet's purview.

You should probably take aim at ChatGPT generated SEO-serving websites filled with referral links.

        • Ai was a mistake.

          • @Skinnerr: The issue is how developers tend to iterate in modern capitalism without government regulation, and it's not a unique problem to AI.

            • @jasswolf: I'm more worried the ai will realise that humans are inefficient and a waste of life, deeming us unnecessary and take us down darkseid style. Judgement day won't be terminators, bombs and lasers though, but subtle subversion of our minds.

              • @Skinnerr: That's a fair while away from being anything close to reality, might want to read into what machine learning is before freaking out about it being left in charge of people's lives in a complex or remotely societal fashion.

                • @jasswolf: Yeahnah all good mate, was mostly tongue in cheek. But seriously I do worry about the many ripple affects a.i will have on society and the human race.

As long as we never forget our human roots and continue to strive forward, I think ultimately we'll be OK. Because historically, we've never had it better. Let the robots come!

Lining up from 6am to get a "bite me" tramp stamp

    • Butt!

  • Why oh why! No Brissy or Goldie??

There's already enough shitty tattoos on the coast, why add to it?

      • I guess we should be banning all the people with shitty tattoos moving from Sydney and Melbourne to the coast, then.

        • Yes please.

This is what you want permanently on your body, something that was free and rushed…..

Whilst I am indifferent to tattoos, something about a commercial organisation paying for permanent tattoos is a little disconcerting.
