Just bought a kit last week when they were around $200, just seen today they had been dropped down to $160 plus a 10% off coupon associated with the item bringing it to $144. Grabbed another set for the other corners of the house.

Easy setup and install is all I can vouch for as I only just set mine up this morning.

      Got an Aosu doorbell. Looks just like the eufy as well. Seems to be alright so far

        Build quality is very nice. Doesn't exude any obvious signs of cheaply made Chinese systems.

        App is easy to navigate. Good range on the Homebase for camera placement.

          It’s probably sending all the footage back to CCP much faster than eufy.

            @prisonmike: I don't think how quickly the footage gets back to China is the important factor there. Unless having to race a Chinese state police team to your Amazon parcels is a common occurrence.

    Are these cloud based?

    I’m always cautious of buying video devices that utilise some random small company’s servers and rely on them to provide regular security updates

      Homebase has storage, can access additional storage through subscription but doesn't look like it hides any features behind the sub fee. You can access the footage and stream cameras from the app.

        This is the part I’m weary of;

        These devices are internet connected, so I assume this means:

        1. Aosu could shut down the servers behind the app (eg, in 2 years when they release a new product or if the company goes under)
        2. You’re relying on Aosu to continue providing security updates to the cameras and base station; so that no one can get into the camera feed, or your home network. As above, if the company goes under or marks these as “obsolete”, then they’re essentially disposable

        I know some people might not care and that’s fine - I probably need to look at an older school setup that’s not internet connected

          Unless you're a celebrity or a mogul, nobody is likely to have an interest in hacking in to view your front yard. An older school setup probably will come with shit cameras and features which defeats the whole purpose for these things. If the cameras suck, you might as well not have these.

            @clubhonda: Thanks @clubhonda - understand about the quality of the cameras… but what's the point of having good quality cameras that can't be used because the company closed up, or have stopped providing support to the underlying tech required to run them?

    Thanks for sharing OP, I ordered one kit!

    I’ve been looking at the Eufy kits but the reviews for this are surprisingly good considering the price and advertised capabilities. If the kit turns out to be crap or not as described, then I know I can return it easily for a full refund with Amazon.

    Any reviews for this brand I was looking at the WUUK branded ones which seem to have good reviews but this one is even cheaper.
