It says "Up to 30%" cashback on the Shopback site and then only lists the Ivory Cat Food as 30%. When I navigate to PetStock and check my add-in it shows 4.79%

App shows 30% for everything except services (at 0%).

Given Petstock is the most expensive this just brings their prices down to normal

    • +5

Yep, and the one time I asked for a price match with Petbarn, they said it was "below cost".

      • +2

        looool

And it’s not even like Petbarn is cheap

      • Yep, had that too and laughed at them and called bullshit. How can some no-name online webstore compete on price/volume with the equal largest (or thereabouts) pet retailer in the country and pricebeat them. Petstock & Petbarn can both g&gf.

I'm not going to risk it for a dog biscuit.

My last petstock 30% cashback hasn’t tracked. I have raised a ticket but it’s still under investigation. I would tread with caution. Especially that it doesn’t even mention a cap. So I bought dog food worth $160+ hoping to get around $48 cashback, but hasn’t tracked at all. Not sure if I am prepared to take the gamble again !

    • Same here! I have a case open over 4 weeks now waiting, likewise a big order. Come on shopback sort it out.

    • Mine tracked well so far with ShopBack. Maybe consider TopCashback if ShopBack isn't working properly for you?

    • I had this issue and lodged a case and waited a few months then got declined still. Haven't touched petstock since. Better luck with your one though I hope.

      • Thanks ! I gave it a miss this time. Tried petpost instead. Hope that one tracks !

        • My petstock transaction has changed to tracked this morning - now I am kicking myself for missing out on this :-(
I was speaking to @gotyourback yesterday, not sure if they did some magic for this to go through.
But thanks @gotyourback anyways for your support!

  • Is Cashback still available if I select Autoship to lower price

    • Thought Autoship counted as a service

      • So auto ship is a service? That sucks.

        • +1

Unsure, i mean technically it's a type of service so never used it when doing cashback however i never asked shopback if they considered it a service

    • Yes

Take caution with shopback tracking system nowadays, it becoming like a lottery cashback system now.

Even when transaction are successfully tracked but it may end up as calculating and they will take days to respond saying transaction will be confirmed 90 days later, if you qualify for bank bonus you will lose this and likely at end of 90 days you lose the cashback.

    • I'm experiencing exactly this with a Petbarn order. I would only make the order because of the cashback. Shopback is frustrating.

Slightly off topic, but a 'heads-up'. Pet owners whose pets are on expensive 'prescription medication' can ask their vet for a prescription and buy online at places like PetPa.
But all vets are not the same. My original vet would only give me a script for ONE supply and on top on consultation fees etc charges $49 for writing that script.
I changed Vets and my new vet charges $21 for writing a script, but it includes repeats!
The first vet could provide the tablets directly but charged $450 per hundred of Apoquel. The second vet $290 per hundred, which I think is reasonable. Petpa online $246 including postage.
I understand that having a pet is not cheap, and I respect that Vets need to make a good living, but I hate being price-gouged.

Good cashback but their prices are a rort.

    • Yes, there has been a 14% price increase (no deal to stack with) for my pet's recipe since the last cashback. But the 15% brand credit still makes it the best option (essentially 40% off) for me.

  • Does this work for subscription/autoship? Doesn't say anything about subscription being excluded in shopback terms

  • Be careful with Shopback cashbacks. They are becoming less honorable and you can only claim a missing cashback at some arbitrary time no earlier and no later than 7-30 days from point of sale. You can't trust that they will honor it just because it tracked and all the terms were met. I specifically bought something because of it's cashback, it tracked correctly in my shopback account but shopback didn't register the sale. I reached out to @gotyourback but they said because it's beyond 30 days they decided they don't want to make it right. Integrity.
