Same price $8.75 ($0 with Amazon Prime) @Amazon
Great deal, down from $17.50. They sometimes go on sale down to $14 but this is great.
Switching to this gel from the tablets has been a lot better for our machine (and economical).

Just use powder, cheaper and better. Remember to fill the rinse-aid dispenser too, and add some power for the prewash.

Nice video
Realised the dishwashing powder acts as sand and damages high gloss surfaces.
Some untensil manufacturers recommend to use liquid dishwahing agents.
Sand is made of very hard crystals. Detergent powder is not hard, even at the tiny scale, certainly far softer than glassware. Glazing of plates etc is hard glass (as the name implies).
Lead crystal show not be put is a dishwasher, but that is chemical action, not abrasion.
What utensils have a soft glossy coating? Like a laquer?
You need some food scraps on your plates, so the powder has something to hit.
This! Been using woolie’s cheapest $3.9/L Shine powder and no problem ever.. it also works like a charm with rinse aid.
My dishwasher repairer said to just use powder only!
Why is that? I used to use powder but I have gone to tablets as I usually find great offers and works out cheaper and less messy.
Mainly because powder is cheaper.
Also, if you dont have a pre-wash dispenser, you can just sprinkle powder into the dishwasher.
It's the pre-wash that you sprinkle into the dishwasher that gives powder the massive advantage.
The lower cost is just a bonus.
Cheaper with tablets? Do you have any data to back that up? I just switched the opposite direction to due to the price reduction in using powder.
Powder will let you wash 35-40 for 1 kilo (using some pre wash powder) Looking at the Woolworths one is 20grams per wash plus 5 grams pre wash). So that’s about 10c per wash. In the past there have been finish offers for about the same. I have stocked up. I am realising once my stash is finished I might have to go back to powder. There used to be some cheap Woolies tablets but they seem to not to have them in stock anymore.
@fozzie: Looking back through deals from the last 1-2 years, I can't see any tablets at 10c per wash. 18-19c seems to be the better sale price for Finish tablets at least - not sure if there are others around. I recently finished my last box of tablets which I had bought several years ago at I think about 16c per wash and was suggested here to move over to powder.
The 10c per wash powder is available year round, where as the tablet specials seem few and far between in recent times, and even then still above powder prices. The incremental effort for using powder is minimal too, it only takes a few seconds to load.
Thanks, bought the liquid.
Another hugely over priced finish product you don't need .
FYI: My dishwasher repairer said to use a long wash cycle (3 hours) instead of a short 30 minute cycle, as it is more economical!
Anyone heard of this before?
30-minute cycle is the "glassware" cycle for emergencies.
The "eco" cycle may be 30 minutes longer than standard (2 to 2.5 hrs?), but uses less heat and fewer rinses. Not recommended.
"It depends", shorter wash cycle may be more energy intensive to try to clean more quickly. Check your dishwasher manual.
‘Finish all in one max lemon’ sounds like P’Hub title.
Cheaper on Amazon. Just $7.87 if you subscribe.
What a find. I'm starting to buying it from Amazon on promotion.
The unit has smeg dishwasher, I would love to know if I can use something else, it's too expensive.
If I pour powder, I don't think it is gonna work.
Comes to .22 cents a wash.
