Is it fun building w an ITX board? (I don't own one)

Ive built with this exact one, very easy to build and yes fun. Forces you to make everything tidy. Just be mindful with the size of the gpu though

      • isnt this a bit too wide?

Yeah I considered this case when I was building mine and figures it's actually counter intuitive to the point of having a compact, small footprint. It is really airy, tall and wide, if you have beefy components or lots of hard drives then maybe, but unlikely if you are going for mitx build. Would consider it for a NAS build tho.

I went with a Silverstone S13 instead, around similar price to this.

I think the Lian Li x Dan Cases A3-mATX Case is smaller then this and it can support a "cheaper" with more Nvme slots mATX motherboard :)

I can see why it sold out so quick.. more stock coming 17/07/2024 so not a long wait

I had this one, replaced it because it was too wide.

        • Yeah if your aim is for as compact as possible, this is not it.

    • Building m-itx isn't that different from normal sizes just more considerations for components sizes, if you are interested to squeeze a GPU when you get near 14L size or below. Otherwise pretty much everything is same, just smaller Mobo, case and maybe PSU. Connectors are all same, screws, bios.

I built mine for space saving and aesthetics.

  • good mitx. case, has slots for 2 x 3'5 inch drives which is more than some cases these days

If you're keen on small builds, check out Optimum on youtube. He does nice, clean builds, and keeps it simple.

    • Nice builds for sure, but simple? Damn his builds look like some artwork ready to be put in a muesium.

  • Alternatively, try the new Deepcool CH160, I built one recently when I changed my itx mobo from Asus B550-i to Asus B650E-i. Was a pleasant to build. Cost abit more that this deal, about $79 from MSY
